I'd like to give this a go!

Is this group still active? I just got my vivofit2 this weekend and I'm searching threads....looking to see if there is a way to change what activity my band uses when I put it in activity mode? Right night it's running....can I switch that on my own during the day? Like maybe I swim, then run in the same day?

so I hear you guys saying ....let go of the guilt of missing days and just ride on? ok....feels like I'm breaking a rule!

my half is in October....

I'm on a training program that kinda keeps me to this challenge schedule, so lets have fun and make me more accountable to my other program! Week 1: 32m Week 2: 36m Week 3: 38m Week 5: 40m Week 6: 42m Sounds so freaking scary! Each week is the setting the longest distances I've ever ran in my life...and I've only graduated…

Great job!!

I haven't reached a point to start studying the "macros" I'm seeing progress in just relying on the calories but I'm thinking "gee" how much better would I be if I actually studied those too! Cause I love me some of the foods you guys are pointing out have a lot of sodium!

So I tried something new today...I brushed my hair post run, but before i got in the shower. Then I was able to brush it MUCH easier post washing! Not sure if it was a fluke or my run today didn't get my hair as tangled as other runs...but I'm going to try this again on my longer runs coming up...then the rats from the run…

Great job! I've commenting on your original post as much as the answers everyone else is giving. I too hated running till I trained myself to run using the couch to 5k....now I'm following a 16 week plan for an upcoming relay "race" and find that I LOVE completing my runs because when I started the frequency and distances…

Update on the chews....tried Orange over the weekend, made me more thirsty. Berry has been the best so far!

I'm jumping on here to support ya'll just starting out. I'm a C25K graduate myself...and I was in the class of "nope, hate, HATE running, never gonna to it ya'll are CRAZY to be running" when I started. I can NOT stress enough how much I was NOT a runner, never gonna be a runner. So I KNOW what some of you feel/felt as far…

I didn't have this issue till I was running longer then 60 minutes. I figured I would run with water for longer distances, but then I tried GU chews. I picked them up to "practice" with them for an upcoming relay race...and I only used them on my long Sunday runs (which are getting to be 10+ miles now) and I was pleasently…

DOH! I can't see the pics here at work, but I'm excited for you!!! Great job...78 lbs total is amazing!

Results? They're up, zipped, buttoned and with a flowy shirt I could wear them "out" as long as I didn't have to sit down at all in them! Slight muffin top, look a bit "painted on"!

I like this challenge! I just read through ya'll's progress and kinda laugh cause I haven't been on this board, but I have been saving a pair of jeans I wanna fit into in my closet, hanging in a special place....They have been there since I started this journey in March 2011. Last time I tried them on was March 2012 and I…

Less? (then whats there) Seems he was on a kick last year...and I was totally HOT for him to see him take a little care of himself. Lately...sigh....he could do more.

97....Training for the hood to coast in August so next month I'm shooting for 140. Whoa! I came here to post cause Elizabeth's on my friend string and so I saw she started it...didn't realize it was from a "long distance" runners group. I have never considered myself a long distance runner! I only recently allowed myself…

Thanks everyone...I could see one or two classes could help with posture correction....iphone still my first choice over dvd partly so I could do it with less distractions from the kids/dogs vs trying to monoplize the family TV.

For me, I decided I needed to lose weight March 2012, when I announced to my friends that my daughters (3rd) birthday would be at the new waterpark. My neighbor said "you're going to make us put on bathing suits"....it was THEN that I thought, OH CRAP....I don't want all my friends/family/neighbors to see me in a suit…

Like others have said already....if you had told me one year ago that I'd be a runner by this time THIS year....I would have laughed in your face. Last August I started the C25K program...through an iphone app. Best 2.99 I ever spent. I did the first five weeks (to be sure I'd stick with it) and THEN bought my first pair…

Hello and welcome! I've been here a little over a year, but your story on running sparked MY interested as I HATED running, but took it up last August and now I'm 'in training' for a relay 'running' race that I once said I would 'never do'!!! I've come to look forward to my runs and would love to get these last 10 lbs off!…
-
You sound a little like me....I HATED running....never thought I would. Started the c25k just to see if I could lose some lbs and found the love for running. I say switch over to the bridge to 10k....don't start at week one you'll feel way to advanced (cause you are)...I had three weeks off for a cold after I graduated the…

I know this doesn't help you make YOUR decision....but I bought two myself tonight...can't wait till they get here!

Nevermind....found the answer (finally) on the fitbit site....Just in case you read and wondered the answer...here it is Multiple devices can coexist in the same household and can sync to the same base station, or multiple base stations. Each Tracker has a unique ID, so any base station will be able to sync your Tracker’s…

I have been really excited to get my hands on a nike fit band...but stumbling over this thread....this is cheaper and seems to be better!!! AND I like the sleep monitoring aspect. I think I'm going to order mine today!
