I've heard it's great for your flexability....I don't see myself attending any classes and was looking into possibly getting an "app for that"

Anyone use a yoga app on thier iphone/ipad/itouch?? Or have you tried one that I should steer clear of?

The reason I'm not interested in attending classes are they aren't offered at a time that works for my family....and I'm already doing a heavy running/training program. I'm into week 5 of 16 weeks so I have even more limitation on how much more I can fit into my free time. Thought I could do some yoga at home on my light running days?

Would a DVD you can do at home be of interest? There are a lot of them On Demand and through Netflix streaming.

I don't have any advice regarding apps, but I second ^^^^ with DVD's.

It does really help sometimes to see others doing it along with various cues and tips from the instructor.

I use a free app (for iPhone) called "Daily Yoga" once in a while. You can choose to practice for 20, 40, or 60 minutes. If you upgrade to the paid version there are more/custom workouts.

I'm interested in seeing other app recommendations.

I would still try and take a couple of classes so that you can learn proper positions which a DVD doesn't really help with. I recently took a private, hot yoga class and I loved it. The teacher did correct a lot of my postures. There are a million yoga studios where I live and you can find something for any time of the day. Many offer free sessions, $30 unlimited sessions for a month, etc. Oh, and look for Living Social/Groupon deals.

    Try it!

Thanks everyone...I could see one or two classes could help with posture correction....iphone still my first choice over dvd partly so I could do it with less distractions from the kids/dogs vs trying to monoplize the family TV.
