I had no clue. My ex had a 3yr affair with his exgf. I was so busy taking care of 2 babies, 3 dogs and a huge house that i had no idea.

I'm training for my first fitness competition and what worked for me was a 500-700 calorie deficit each day. I work out 5 days a week (5 days of cardio and 3 days of weight training) unless I'm training for a show like I am now, and then I work out 3x/day some days.

I agree with the posters that say you can and do burn calories when doing circuit training/resistance training - I wear a HRM and I can burn 800+ calories in one session (about an hour and a half). I'm serious about weight loss, but I don't eat more than 1200 calories a day. I'm in the gym 5 days a week, doing cardio and resistance training - getting ready for my first fitness competition. Feel free to add me if you want.

I agree with you on all, but #5 - are you talking about someone that is doing a circuit routine? I do resistance training 3x/wk and always do 2-3 circuits....I go in the afternoons when the gym is less busy so hopefully no one cares or is waiting on one of the machines I'm using. I have been doing Atkins and have had great success with it! My daily carb limit is 20g a day. If you can do that, your body will go into ketosis and burn stored fat for engergy and the weight will melt away quickly!
