Grilled with a little olive oil sprayed on (I love my Misto), kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper. Asparagus, broccoli, sliced eggplant, fat slices of onion~ just about anything that you would roast. I use a perforated vegetable "wok" so they don't fall through the grates. Dee lish!

Check out a product called Bodyglide.

Maybe use it in smoothies with fruit, vanilla almond milk to mask the taste?

Not vegan here but dairy doesn't agree with me so I use pea protein and brown rice protein.

Try a shorter stride.

There's an Eat to Live group here.

So sorry you're injured. Can you get to a deep pool? I broke my foot and have discovered aqua jogging. You use a flotation belt around your waist and "jog" in the deep end of the pool. Completely non weight bearing. Of course, it's not nearly as enjoyable as jogging and hiking but it gets it done! I've added some upper…

Thanks, Ladies. Great ideas. How about a routine? Do you know of something published that I can follow? I don't really know the moves and could use a planned workout with instructions on form, etc. I'll google but if you know of a good one please share. Thanks again!

My fav is a morning salad of baby spinach topped with a combined cup of blueberries, cantaluope and strawberries with a few chopped walnuts or homemade granola on top for crunch.

Please rest. I did the same thing and ended up with a fractured sesamoid. Have spent weeks in an air cast, then a special sandal and now 10 weeks later am in cross trainers with special inserts. The ortho doc says it will be another 4- 6 weeks before getting back to running. So I've basically been sidelined since mid May…

Have you tried Hellmans' Dijonaisse? More mayo taste than mustard and very low cal.

How about egg white whipped with a little water?

Curried cauliflower. Lightly steam the cauliflower and set aside. Saute chopped onions and fresh ginger. Add curry powder to taste and cook for a minute or two. Add the cauliflower and some raisins. Deelish!

Check out the South Beach cookbooks.

I'm trying to learn to think more about food as fuel. For convenience this morning I had left over grilled pork tenderloin and a half cup of sauteed spinach. Not your usual breakfast fare but it's kept me full until lunch:)

Thanks, y'all!

My Dr. had me add fiber to my diet via Metamucil before each meal. Worked for me! Google "fiber + lower cholesterol" to learn more. Bonus~ it"s filling before sitting down to a meal.

I find that a short stroll after dinner helps me digest the healthy dinner I just enjoyed. Even my husband has recently joined me. I enjoy the fresh air and a good belch! It also keeps me from settling down in front of the TV with all the subliminal snacking messages as well as my own snack habit. A little longer walk and…

I set aside a 5 lb bag of sugar or flour for every 5 that I lost. It's pretty humbling to see that pile grow and to realize that I used to carry it all around with me day in and day out.

Try great northern beans (drain and rinse if canned), a bit of low sodium chicken broth, some chopped onion and throw in a couple of handfuls of spinach to wilt. A little thyme and garlic salt, mmm. For extra protein add some tuna. Very satisfying as a cool weather "comfort food".

Try adding a healthy mid morning and mid afternoon snack. Keeps me from being starved and overeating at meal time. Some say it also keeps the metabolism revved up as it's working to digest food throughout the day.

Anything white~ sugar, rice, pasta, white bread, potatoe. Adding brown rice, whole grain pasta and bread and in smaller servings than before.

I personally don't lose weight if I eat junk, even if I'm at my reccomended calories each day. If I avoid processed foods then my carbs come out generally low by the end of the day.. Also, my cravings seem to have gone away so it's much easier to make healthy choices. I did the South Beach Diet and lost weight, broke the…

Oh, how I wish I could tell them not to bring them but my 6'3" husband that can eat anything he wants would have a fit! I'm still learning how to do what I need to instead of just joining in with him and eating junk. So hard...
