That's one heckuva mile marker, congrats!! I've done my first 5k walking, the furthest I've ever gone, and now my goal is to be able to run one as well!! It's got to feel amazing that you can actually do it now, color me green with envy!

I understand where you are and how tough it can be. You might want to try posting in the General Diet and Weight Loss Help section. This section is for success stories. You will probably find some good suggestions or further assistance over there.

Thanks all, I needed that.

Thank you Marge, you're response is appreciated! It's surprising how fast someone will reply to anything sex related on this site but how few will complement and encourage us old fat men!

I like this! I've sent a freind request as well. You'll help me be honest knowing you're viewing my diary.

This and I check out motivational quotes and tell myself why I'm doing this in the first place.

340 lbs for me, I'm at 288 now. I started walking at 2 miles an hour and could only last 30 minutes. I kept at it and kept pushing myself. Now I can comfortably push myself and do 3.2-3.5 miles an hour and have completed my first 5k in just under an hour! I'm still on week one of the C25k program because I cannot complete…

arinacutey, I don't see why you can't if you follow the eating plan. I've lost that much myself in as little time. TahanyE, I know what you mean by kicking the fast foods. Herbalife helped me do that and get rid of the water retention I had issues with. Did you know that fast food is designed to be addictive? I went on…

Wow, gotta say I appreciate the honesty. This is what I've started to discover about myself, that I'm changing my life and I've got to be comfortable with it. I'm experimenting whith what is the text book thing to do and what is right for me to do. I'm starting to enjoy the excercise and dieting simply because now it's…

Yes, thank you for posting. I'm doing about the same transformation you did and just now starting to realize this may really happen. Seeing that you did and the pics you posted certainly helps. Do you mind me asking if you did any special form of diet and excercise?

Incredible!! Thank you for the inspiration!

Don't paint us all with the same brush. You can talik to my wife about that. Now, I'm not saying I didn't create more work for her when she recovered but I did my damndest to take care of her and all 3 of our baby girls while she was healing.

Yes because I do concede that while dating you ladies and putting up with some of your feminine ways is tough it's easy enough compared to some of the crap you have to go through just because your girls! As far as orgasms go, you just have to know what your doing son ;)

I'm using Herbalife myself but I'm using it as a suplement and not a replacement. Here's my deal. I don't have time to make healthy meals and opening a can of soup or heating up a frozen dinner certainly isn't as helathy as they let on. When I'm at work I heat up some Quaker Oats, add flax, nuts and 2 scoops of Herbalife.…

Used to I would have to find a place to lean or sit if expected to stay on my feet for a period of time. After standing around for about an hour I noticed that I was actually standing around for about an hour! Doing some core work and losing a few pounds in the last 6 weeks seem to be paying off!!

Yes you can replace the battery yourself, I just had to. The battery was a little difficutl to find in a regular retail store however, I ended up going to Radio Shack. I was certain I had lost all of my information but as soon as it powered back up all was right with the world.

Die Another Day -- according to my beautiful wife. Gone with the Wind -- damn fiber!
-
This would depend on the type of diabetic as well and usually this information is good for low carb diets such as Atkins. Type 1 diabetics still have to be very concerned with the sugar intake no mater the fiber intake unfortunately.

Tomato, it's a fruit techinically and hardly any sugar or calories. Probably not what you're looking for but.... :) I agree with what kalynpugh is saying. Can you clarify? Are you referring to blood sugars or the # of sugars in your diet?

Thanks Mand8301 Tonight will be the end of W1d3 and I've got to say I'm proud of myself so far. I'll start W2d1 Monday (naturally), I'm going to give it a shot and if I can't hang I'll drop back to week 1 again, no shame in my game :)
-
W1d2 for me and I'm wondering if I'm going to make it, W1d1 kicked my buttocks!! Going to give it an honest and let's see what happens!

Speaking as a health professional you do not need to eat less than 1200 calories a day, bottom line, end of story.
-
If that's not encouragement I don't know what is. Keep it up man, you're an inspiration!

Just did, had some sunflower seeds. Is doing cardio but not weights today.
