I'm due in August with my second. I gained 50 lbs with my first and I'm trying to be healthier this time too!

i went thru this with my first and ended up gaining a ton! My suggestion is get chicken breasts, season them differently, cook them, then freeze them so you can just pop them in the microwave for a few minutes. same with veggies, get varieties and add those. Then have quinoa or brown rice made up in big batches. Your hubby…

Already your friend too. I stay home too and Faith is only 6 months so I know I will need some healthy food ideas soon too! Right now I snack on Fruit cups, fruit strips, baby carrots, chips and salsa, apples and peanut butter, bananas and peanut butter smoothies. I think those are pretty kid friendly.

Thank you Davpul! Madhatter2013 sounds like you're doing great! The form is hard. Luckily my father is a personal trainer so I had him come over and look at my form. I think I have it mostly down.

Thank you tufel! And thank you for the group link. I have seen the group before, I don't feel like I new to be in a women's only group though, just looking for people in general who are starting out lifting like me. Or even who have been doing it for a whole, man or women :)

What makes you say it is mis-adding your calories? I've never had that problem.

It could be water weight. You're working muscles that you don't normally work so they are tearing and growing. Part of that is holding water to help them repair and cushion.

Way to go!! You look cute already!!

You look great! Awesome job!!

Looking at your diary you need more protein. You should be eating a gram for every lb of lean body mass. Mine is 118, I'm betting yours is much more than that.

I would give it a little more time. I've been doing the same for 2 1/2 weeks and the scale has barely moved. I think it just takes your body time to get used to the diet and all. I think you also might want to focus on your macros too. I'm trying to work on that as well. Looking at your diary your protein was low…

I don't think you should feel bad at all. You have to satisfy your cravings in moderation otherwise you will most burnout and binge. Remember it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. You're not going to not eat chocolate ever for the rest of your life! :)

You can do it :)

When you foud out your tdee if you set your activity level to sedentary you should be eating back most of you exercise calories to keep you from going under your bmr. Hope that helps :)

I eat before I workout and the have a snack after I workout. It's about an hr and a half after I eat that I woke out. I agree it helps give me that boost for my workout.

This :) although I am currently trying tdee - 20% and .35*my weigh for fat and my lean body mass for grams of protein I should ge which is about 35% carbs and protein and 30% fat. But that is my current attempt

Meshashesha20 thank you very much, that just gave me a great idea! I can put my bands in a door frame and close the door! I know I will need a pull up bar later but we can't afford one yet.

you look amazing! great job!

I think it also depends on how your clothes fit when you started out. A lot of us start out in clothes a size smaller than they should have been. Sounds like you are doing a great job! hang in there!!

Thank you to the ladies that posted their experience, I had no idea it could escalate that fast. I guess I also didn't realize that sitting up made your blood pressure go up though now it makes sense. I will definitely know what to look for now. They did tell me to call if my eyesight was blurry, i got dizzy, nausea, or a…
