I commute by bike in North Carolina as well. Fortunately for me, there was a brand new four-lane road constructed from downtown (where I live) to a road that leads directly to my work. Almost no one uses the new road, so I typically have it all to myself on my bike commutes. The lane it feeds into has barrier-protected…

My bike helmet has a ponytail hole in the back, which has been great for preventing helmet hair. I put my hair in a braid or a loose pony through the hole, and I can just take it out at work and be good to go. I also carry my work clothes in a trunk bag. I do keep a couple pairs of heels at the office so I don't have to…

I started off with a hybrid for bike commuting last year. My bike shop recommended it because I am a year-round commuter and needed stability for rides during/on snow, rain, etc., but now I wish I had gotten something lighter. I love riding my bike out on the trails, but it just feels heavy and slow to me now when taking…

I just joined EveryMove, but I have no option to choose a reward. That page just stays blank, even when I click on browsing all of the possible rewards. It is happening both on my iPhone and online. Anyone else having this issue of no reward choices?

That woman in the contest was not allowed to go to the restroom as per the rules, so the problem was having that much water in her system. I assume you void regularly, so you cannot really go off of that tragic event in determining the proper amount of water.

According to their calculations, I'm level II, which puts me at eating 2600 calories a DAY. That's a huge…

What tools do you have to have to do the P90X videos? Do I need to have a pull-up bar, for example, or were you just sharing that in terms of your progress towards fitness?

I started the shred on the 14th. Finished up D3L1 this morning. It's definitely kicking my *kitten* thus far! I hurt my knee skiing back in January and it took forever to recover, so this is the first real exercise I've done this year - it's so hard getting back into it. I don't want to hurt myself getting back into…

Hello! Today is my first day. I doubt I'll be much of a presence on the boards, but it's nice to know so many people are out here supporting each other. Do you swim at all? Swimming is great exercise and the butterfly stroke especially is great for toning back/shoulder muscles. You can achieve similar results with certain…
