That is an amazing thing!! You totally rock!! I'm also in recovery, it's been 3 years, 2 months and 8 days since my last drink. I also drank beer like you did. It was no problem for me to polish off a 30 pack after work everyday. Congrats! You are doing wonderful!

I wear my Polar FT4 heart rate monitor and I burn anywhere from 500 - 600 in an hour.

Even if it is after penetration....that is still extremely sad. I'm not opposed to a quicky but 6 minutes is even fast for that.

That is exactly how mine feel. I haven't tried compression sleeves because the guy at the running store I go to said that they were a waste of money. I will certainly try them. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

I enjoy running. It's the whole mind game of beating yourself and pushing yourself farther than you ever thought you could. The feeling of triumph at the finish line or that 5th mile when you've only ran 3 miles before. It's a high you get that you just can't get from anything else. I get my cardio from other sources right…

The cross trainer just bores me to death! Maybe if I close my eyes and pretend I'm running thru some beautiful trails with little bridges that cross over babbling brooks it wouldn't be so bad. LOL I love running trails or just around the park. It doesn't feel like work that way.

Within the first 2 minutes they are hurting. A sprint causes sharp stabbing pains in my shins...so I could do it but not pain free. It feels like my bones are going to snap...not a good feeling.

Maybe I will try Vibrams as well. That's awesome that you can do HIIT. I get my cardio right now from the stairmaster and bike but I so love to run. It so depressing that I can't do it without extreme pain.

It doesn't matter what surface I run on. I have ran on all of those.

I eat a can of albacore tuna with light mayo, relish and mustard with Nut Thins pecan crackers. Very high in protein so you remain full for a few hours. I also make homemade protein bars that I eat for snacks during the day and some fruit maybe.

You can do benchpress with dumbbells. I have heard they are more effective because you have to use more of the small muscles to stabilize the weights. You can also use dumbbells for deadlifts as well.

I have been sober since 5.3.10. Your story is very familiar. I highly suggest hitting up an AA meeting or contacting a rehab center. If only to better educate yourself...you might hear something that you need to hear. I ask that you keep an open mind and look for the similarities instead of focusing on the differences…
