I feel your pain! Not sure what happened in the last year but I gained 23 pounds and I’m tired of carrying it around. Started my journey to health last Monday and looking forward to the process.

I am in the same boat although I only lost 10 pounds and have gained it all back, ready to make a permanent lifestyle change and get healthy and to my goal weight (about 30 pounds less than what I am now).
-
I too have about 30 pounds I would like to lose. I have been focusing on drinking more water and eating healthier and as soon as I find my weights and resistance bands (I recently moved and haven't unpacked the box they are in yet) I plan on starting Jillian Michaels body revolution.

is there somewhere to download the diet plan? I bought a used copy off ebay and the diet plan was missing :(

Try walking and add short jogging intervals in there, go back to walking until you catch your breath then jog a little more. Cardio endurance (and lung capacity) is something that has to be built up over time.

you are still trying which is what matters! Keep your head up mama, you have created and carried 4 babies...I would be tired too!

@marquillage I find the intensity to be enough that I get in a good workout but not so intense that I feel like I am going to die. Much better than a lot of her other workouts that you have to be in pretty decent shape to get through without feeling like you are going to die.

@missingone thank you for the encouragement! Still going strong on day 4; going to get workout in soon for the day and I am really enjoying this program so far (I know I am just at the beginning though). Can't wait to see what the results are at the end, the work I am putting in working out makes me more conscious of what…

Find an exercise that you like...whether that is dancing around in your living room, taking a walk with friends (or by yourself), anything that requires movement will help you burn calories and you will look forward to exercise much more if you enjoy what you are doing. 30 day shred is hard and gets boring fast; I am…

Never thought about tracking calorie burn when shooting my bow but depends on how fast you are shooting and walking back and forth to get your arrows...may have to track next time I practice

I just started BR last week and missed a couple of days due to scheduling issues, I must say I am loving it. Planning on repeating week 1 so I can get a full week in and complete the program as designed.

I bought Body Shred before Revolution but found it way too hard for the physical level I am currently at. I went and found Revolution on ebay and have started it now (just started this week); hoping after 90 days of Revolution I will be ready for Body Shred but not sure.

I just started on Monday and did Day 2 of phase 1 workout 1 today; so far I am really loving this program. I did not get the cardio in yesterday (late breakfast and if I don't get my exercise in early in the morning it doesn't seem to happen later in the day). I like the variety and I like that it is a challenge but it…

Just got my charge HR today and loving it so far, not sure how to add friends on Fitbit to do challenges and stuff but think that would be an added bonus.

I am waiting on my DVDs to arrive on Thursday and plan on starting Monday; looks like I won't be too far behind this group :)
-
I know I get grouchy and don't feel well on only 1200 calories a day, 1400-1500 seems to work much better for me overall (I even lose more weight when I east more calories)
-
Waiting form my DVD's to arrive so I can start body revolution, I ordered the new body shred program and realized it was way too advanced formy current fitness level. Hoping and praying revolution is aimed more towards out of shape people looking to improve their health and fitness level.
-
Yes it is called body shred it is her newest program she has out
-
I just started her body shred program and love it so far, 30 minute DVD's that build intensity every 2 weeks, 3 different workouts each week so you don't get bored

^^^this, if I depended on my hubby to workout I would never workout..I go to the gym and lift weights, treadmill work or whatever else I feel like that day.

Some good points

Why did I let myself go? I let myself go because I had post partum depression after having my daughter and simply did not care how much I weighed or what I looked like. I could have stood to lose some weight before I got pregnant and although I tried to be good I still gained more than I wanted and the depression on top of…

It all depends on whether you actually use the equipment you have at home or not. I know for me working out at home just did not work for me; I could always find something else that needed to be done; dishes, laundry, my 3 year old needing something...the list was endless. With a gym membership I get up every morning and…

I would probably do a monday and wednesday routine and then make sure i ws active on my days at home. I know how much better I lift and can focus after I take a day off from lifting (mondays i am especially focused and can concentrate on form and how much i lifr after resting all weekend).
-
new rules of lifting for women or strong lifts would be my recommendation for routines. i am currently in week 7 of nrol4w and love it but i have also heard great thinga about strong lifts. I am sure others will have suggestions too. As far as adding it now vs. waiting, I would go ahead and add it. Muscle burns more…

One - try moving however and whenever you can. I know being a new mommy can be exhausting we have all been there; and I can only imagine how tired you are wtih two. Movement through dancing with your kids, walking up and down stairs at your apartment, yoga, anything other than sitting will help you burn calories and start…

gym for me, home had too many distractions although i do try to get my hubby to go for walks with me after dinner sometimes.

For me it has been a good thing for my marriage but I also have a very supportive husband that is willing to eat healthy (for the most part) so that I can and helps chip in around the house so I have my time to workout and do what I need to do for me. I know not everyone has that support and that would definitely cause…

This is why I workout alone...trying to find someone that can go to the gym (or even on a walk for that matter) at the same time I can has proven to be a huge obstacle so I use my workouts as my "me" time and focus on just myself and that keeps me sane in this crazy life.

Great job! You are definitely more toned! Keep up the effort
