  • heh heh no i dont live in wales - it was just a day trip. Glad i went though :D. Ive had my half hour with jllian today, am off to the gym shortly, armed with hrm :D. May have another jillian sesh later, if i feel up to it :D
  • tarting back again as of yesterday - feeling the pinch of it, but determined. I have some cool pics of the mountain climb i did on my blog @ http://theinfinitewaypoint.blogspot.com. Let me know what you think folks :)
  • it was 4.5 miles there and 4.5 back. climbing 1080 metres. :)
  • i decided to have a break from Jillian for a few days - on the up side i rocked up 2100 calories hiking u a mountain yesterday, so i think it kinda balances out ;). Starting back today methinks.
  • Its day 3 of level 2 for me. Im not feeling too bad - although i have to stop for a breather for the 5 seconds allowed - and some of the easier exercises i have to do. But ill get there - i particularly love to hate the plank jacks. *Lol*
  • Started level 2 day - and im back to thnking shes a sadistic cow again lol. Lots more calories on level to according to my hrm - so its all good :). Ive got a feeling its gonna hurt tomorrow...
  • Im on day 9 of level 1 - and im feeling alot better than when i started... :D Is level 2 as scary as it looks?
  • Day 7 done - i'm definitely getting stronger and can feel things "working" alot better. That said im just having a peek at level 2 as its only 3 days away.... eek! Oh well, no pain no gain... :D
  • Day 4 of 30 day shred done. Despite what i sad before, ts getting easier, i think im getting stronger. Arms and legs are coming up a treat - now for the rest of me... I still maintain however shes a sadistic mare, that Jillian Michaels
  • Day 2 - It hurrrts! but im keeping positive (and achey). Hopefully it will be easier tomorrow... :)
  • i apologise for the awful spelling there too lol.
  • Started it today. Question though, my HRM counted 185 cals for a level 1 session, although ive seens ome peeps say its about 300 cals. I apreciate there is extra calories burned fromt he strength training etc - shoudl i just record the 185, or approximate for the strength training...?
  • im starting the 30 day shred in march. anyone got any idea how many cals it is per session?
  • The best trick ive found to getting everything done is to get up and hour earlier and make the time for it then. If you're wooried about not getting enough sleep then gop to bed thata mount of time earlier. I find it easier to exercise in the morning as its gets it out of the way, then also wakes you up.
  • On the subject i last weighed myself a week ago. As for daily oblutions i mean trips to the toilet etc.
  • Hmmm, after daily oblutions i have lost some 2.5lbs of it. There may be yet more to comes ill warrant. One thing i forgot to ask, is it possible to also gain muscle weight / mass in a shorter space of time. I do some weights in some of my exercise routines (although not alot).
  • Hmm, dont have an awful lot to be stressed about... I am however (in hindsight taking some meds my doctor prescribed me called "turbinafine". Reckon it could be this?
  • Thanks guys - no im a guy. Lol i just get worried when my weight does odd things like that. Its a bit disheartening. Ive discovered there are alot of things that make me hold water, salt etc being the usual. Alot of other things can also though, such as artifical sweeteners, and maybe lactose. Its one hell of a roulette…
  • I understand what youre going through dude. I too was once a 42'' waist. I can only say that hard work does eventually pay off. Im now a 32'' waist, and some 5 stones lighter snce starting on my determined goals. Ive tried quick diets, ive tried slow diets. Ive tried Atkins, ketosis based diets, appetite supressants, carb…
  • Yeah i concur about the slower is better. Im happy gaining a pound or two at the moment, whilst eating more, or even just maintaining whilst my metabolism sorts itself out. Im glad im toning whilst exercising, should help in the long run :D
  • Glad its not just me ciftz.. lol :)
  • Sorry i mean to reach my goal. I aim to lose some 14lbs.
  • Go on then pick on the Biritish guy.. Lol. But thanks guys. You've been a great help.
  • Thanks. :) I'm just astounded that it allows me to eat that much! I wasnt doubting whata nyone says here, just i found it too different from my mindset. How long do you guys reckon it will take them to lose that amount?
  • Pruneda 1stone = 14lb *lol*. Strange. How i understood it was that calorie defecit helped lose weight not the other way around. So... i need more net calories not less? Is the net calories the calorie defecit, or comsumption after exercise? New thinking, often confuses me.
  • Best of luck to you, youve stepped into a very good site and rich community. If you need any help with anything, mostly everyone's glad to help :)
  • Welcome! There are some lovely and very helpful people on here. :) Hope your first steps are fruitful.
  • monica - good point about the sodium. I hadnt considered that.. hard to get away from sodium. Ill like bet theres some in there. I fell foul to the sodium rich soy sauce over the last few days. I hadnt realised how mcuh sodium there is in there. Now im trying to get rid of all the water... Hard times.
  • Ive tried zero cal things before. Ironically, yes theyre low in calories, but my body doesnt like artificial sweeteners / colourants (which low and zero sugar things are full of) and consequently ill gain all kinds of water retention for ages after. If youre cool with sweeteners then fine. if not, steer well clear. Adams…
  • Just a quick question. Would my water intake the weight loss process? ie not drinking enough...
