Your body underwent a major thing and is just adjusting back. Please don't stress about it! You will get back up and running and I guaranty that is not real weight you gained. It's water and fluids and post-surgery stuff. Don't get discouraged and get truckin!

Hi there! I'm a turbo jammer as of lately and love it. Question, someone wrote Cardio Mix 2 on here. Where do you get that? I went onto the website today and all I can find are the DVD's I already have (sculting, cardio party, 20 min workout). If there are more I would love to order them to change it up. Thanks!

chicken, fish, nuts, peanut butter

I heard any even sadder thing today on the Today Show. Some man in CA tried to sell his 14 yr old daughter into marriage with an 18 yr old for 100 CASES OF BEER! Then when he didn't get the beer he called the cops and told them. He was obviously arrested. Weirdos! Poor girl...I hope she gets help...

This looks great. Thanks!

Change up your workouts! Try something fun like spinning or step class or swimming. Or a new workout video if you like those. It will make you feel good and energized which always helps.

Yep...HRM is always the best way to measure. But look at it this way...you're in better shape than the average person! If the website says the average person burns more doing an activity...but your HRM says you burned a little less...than your heart is in good shape! Way to go!

I'm a celiac and I was in your exact same boat last year. Last Thanksgiving I was in the process of getting tested and ate everything in sight b/c I knew once I got diagnosed I would have to make huge lifestyle changes. While it is a huge pain in the butt and a big adjustment, I will say it gets easier and it's worth the…

My mom loves Zumba! I've never been with her...but she loves to dance and said it's a great time. Enjoy! Way to go on the gym :)

get rid of the junk in the house! if you know you'll eat it...just get rid of it. don't think of it as wasting food but as preserving yourself! give it to neighbors or work or someone....

I think once we get closer to our goals and the fat in our legs decreases...it will reveal long muscular lean legs. That's what I'm hoping at least! My spin instructor has great legs so that's what is motivating me.

Uh oh. I've just taken up spinning class and really love it. But the last thing I want it thighs...yuck. :noway:

Creepy! I'm a little freaked out because a woman was robbed and shot and killed over the weekend pumping gas at the gas station right next to my gym. I'm on my way now for my spin class but it's creepy b/c it's dark going in and coming out. Yikes. Stupid big city.

Aside from the usual water and exercise, trying skiping the carbs at dinner until then. If I need to feel thinner quick....I just eat lean protein and/or salad/veges for dinner and I swear it helps the tummy. Not sure if it really helps or is all mental. It's hard for me as a rice/potatoes kind of gal though!

try searching kickboxing

If you just need calcium you can pop a couple TUMS after eating a meal. It gives you 80% of your calcium needs. I heard that from Dr. Oz on Oprah! Otherwise I've heard the best vitamins are food based. Food based helps you body absorb them. Lately I've been taking a liquid vitamin supplement I purchased at Whole Foods (I…

I have to mention my favorite crackers. They're called Nut Thins. I bought them b/c I can't have wheat/flour...but they are actually really good. They're crispy and there's a bunch of different flavors. One serving is 16 crackers and 130 calories. Enjoy!

I have heard that the best way to build up metabolism after you mess with it (cutting calories, taking pills, etc) is by doing strength training. I don't know of any other way to help besides drinking your water and eating small rounded meals throughout the day.
-
That's the best time. You'll fluctuate a couple pounds throughout the day eating, drinking, sweating, etc. As long as you do the same time each day you can see the changes.
-
Maybe try sipping on some green tea or something hot. You won't drink it as fast and it's good for you. If you feel constantly thirsty for more than a few days you might call you doctor and make sure nothing weird is going on. Good luck!

This goes along with the sock thing...but I have seen gloves you can wear at night after you put on lotion. I think it locks the mositure in all night while you're sleeping. I think I saw them at Bed, Bad & Beyond. Good luck!

Not to beat a dead horse...but the best way to know for sure is to get a HRM. 1000 calories in an hour does seem a little high to me...but it all depends on your weight, age, heart rate, etc. I would hesitate to eat all 1000 calories of those back...but that's just me. Sounds like you're on the righ track though with your…

I had a chick-fil-a Chargrilled Chicken Salad with fat free honey mustard. The salad is just 6 g fat and 180 calories. The dressing is just 60 calories...but 2 servings per packet. Enjoy!

I'm surely no doctor but that does seem pretty high for your age if you exercise regularly. I've heard the heart rate monitors on treadmills/elliptical machines are not as accurate as they are on the personal HRM's. If I was you I would check again when your montior comes in. If you find your heart rate to stay high like…

Eating won't make you feel better ...only worse. Maybe get away for a little while and go see a movie or read a book if it's raining out. Call a friend or call the family you miss. They will help much more than food. Stay out of that kitchen :noway: . You can do it!!

I SO cannot relate to this :) ha ha. Never a prob for me! My advice would be to have a handful of almonds or a healthy higher calorie snack if you really want to eat more calories.
-
I have GI issues as well so I totally understand where you're coming from. Of course listen to doctors...but if something sounds weird sometimes it's worth a second opinion. Low fiber is a little strange. I'm always weary of diets that say to cut out fruits/veges. And if your doctor is a good doctor he/she won't mind you…

Through a straw! So simple but makes it so much easier for me. I can drink a whole glass without even realizing it or tasting it.

...is EVIL! Wish people would keep it out of the office! I had one piece of chocolate and then all of a sudden 5 and my day is shot. Ok..done venting. Have a great day!
