Today after I was almost finished with my run I saw a guy putting things and his dog in his car and I thought nothing of it until I was going to run towards the road from the track and realized I heard a car behind me and THANK GOD it was still a lil daylight and there was a woman also walking on the track. I ran towards a pavilion and still hear the car so I IMMEDIATELY turned around and ran back on the track and took a shortcut across a creek where I knew the car obviously couldnt go( a pedestrian bridge) and ran up a hill on to the main road. I may have been paranoid but I am a tough chick and his car was intially parked right near the entry to the road. I think I also may have gotten my "point" across when I turned around to run back on the track(not like I was scared but like I was changing course) I also made direct eye contact and that automatically difuses a predator. I am also grateful my ipod was in the truck!!!!!!!!!!!

BE CAREFUL and if you see him again...point at him....just so he knows you have seen him and run a different way.
I use to have some weirdo follow me home from school when I was in highschool..
I tried to ignore him but I started to get pissed after a couple days so I turned around and pointed at him and made a really pissed off face....
he drove off and I never seen him again....

    Creepy!

I'm a little freaked out because a woman was robbed and shot and killed over the weekend pumping gas at the gas station right next to my gym. I'm on my way now for my spin class but it's creepy b/c it's dark going in and coming out. Yikes. Stupid big city.

Happened to me. I was walking and this guy was driving towards me as i was crossing the street he turned around and slowed down and said something to me. Then he drove off and turned on another street. I automatically turned around and walked back towards home. Luckily there was a police doing work duty on the road. I gave the description of the car and what he looked like. I felt so sad that I could not enjoy a walk in my neighborhood. I have not walked alone again.

Now I go to the gym, during the day!!! It is terrible we have to be so scared doing the things that we enjoy.

The track where we walk is in the police dept.'s front yard! The cops are always in & out. Makes me feel safer but you still never know! Be careful!

It probably WAS you Max :glasses: :smokin:

Wow that's creepy. Last winter I was walking my dog through our subdivision. Normally I feel pretty safe with him. He's 110 lb. Rottweiler and ALOT of times I'll actually see people go to the other side of the street to stay away from us. Alot of people are afraid of him. But not all. Some don't mind him. Anywho........I was walking the dog and a car came through the subdivision, turned around in the cul de sac we were in. He slowed way down and stayed behind us as we walked. It was creepy. I ran up to my neighbor's door, one of my buddies, and they let me in until the car was gone. She made me stay on the phone with her until I got home too. It was creepy.:frown: Haven't had the problem since. But at that time there had been a lot of assaults in the area and they were all in subdivisions. :indifferent:

    Anyhow......glad you're ok :flowerforyou:

I dont scare easily. I just would have been screwed if he had stopped and gotten out and got me from behind. But then again I know to just take his legs out to get him off me. The kicker is this area is usually VERY VERY VERY safe. as in police patrol it there is a girl scout camp there plenty of play grounds, and its basically almost a state park. It just so happened I beat him at his own game...
