I am 5'2 and currently 155. I started out at my heaviest of 162 and my goal is 135. I too am a little top heavy in the bust dept and have a strong legs from running so I think I'd look too thin if I lost more than that, but I'll have to re-evaluate how i feel once I reach my goal! It seems like we have similar goals, so…

I went to update my workout calendar for May and I decided to look over my April calendar and not only did I complete my first round of p90x, but I only skipped exercising on days I planned to 4 times! I'm super excited since finding the time where I am not super exhausted from working nights seemed so much more daunting…

Okay. So this did not happen to me but a friend of mine told be that when she was in college her college roommate who was super overweight, decided to make changes to her diet. So the roommate went to the store and bought whole wheat pasta and told my friend she was welcome to have her old regular white pasta, since she…

I have 2! First I took my resting heart rate and it's down to 66bpm. A month ago I was averaging 72-76 bpm. It's a small change but I know that means my heart is getting stronger which is so cool. Also I went to do my laundry today and more than half the clothes in the hamper were my work out clothes. I guess I really am…

We seem to have similar goals! I am 26, trying to lose about 25 pounds and I am training for my first half marathon in September. I've only been running seriously for about a year, with a few month hiatus in the winter because of some minor leg surgery. Feel free to add me!!

Just started back on here in the last two weeks and could certainly use some new friends! Add me :)

So today is my birthday! I'm off from work today so I decided I was literally going to to nothing all day. Just sit and read and take a "me" day. When I woke up I made the decision to "treat" myself to a 4 mile run, which I haven't done since last November. And I rocked it! I only stopped to walk once and just for 30…

Hi! I am pretty new to the running thing myself. I had a friend who runs marathons help me out with a training plan for my first race, which is on August 12th. First I am going to assume you mean a 12 minute mile, so correct me if I'm wrong (I can barly ride my bike at 12mph!) So based on my plan, having 9 weeks til my…

Oh my. Where is everyone?! I know I shouldn't be talking. I dropped off the face of the planet last month. But with Finals, and the graduation and moving 3 times in the last month... I kinda put all this on the back burner. Turns out that was a mistake. I now weigh more than I ever have in my life! And I thought I was…

Hello Ladies! I know I have basically dropped off the face of the planet for the last few weeks. I just had so much going on! Papers and exams and finals. Ugh. But I am All done! I am done with college! Forever! Now I am just waiting on graduation (May 20) so I can get the ball moving to take my nursing boards. In other…

Hi ladies! Just dropping in to say I'm not going to be around much this week. It's Hell Week here at school. I have a 20 page paper due Monday, a presentation on Monday, and an exam on Monday. Eek! I'm getting through this knowing this is the last time I have to write a paper or suffer a hell week EVER! Woo!!! I'll be back…

Hello Ladies and Gents! Hope you are all having a great Wednesday! El: your recipes always too so amazing. I definitely have to try them out sometime soon. Guam: Congrats on those NSVs. I love NSVs even more than watching the scale go down (I love that too, of course, just not as much). I crave sugar all the time too so I…

Sometimes it is the medication and sometimes it is the depression/anxiety that makes you gain weight. Weight gain is listed as a side effect for many anti-depressants because it can slow down your metabolism. My brother and my father both suffer from depression. My brother also suffers from anxiety, so he takes a lot of…

Hello all! I hope you are all having a lovely Wednesday! Emily: Welcome back! I can understand how you feel with falling off the wagon. Up until three weeks ago I was on and off the wagon...I have been on MFP for almost a year now and have "twins" (people who are my height and my starting weight who had the same goal…

Hello again ladies! I am back for my first full month with y'all. Last month my goals were to: Log every day (no cheating). Run at least 3 times a week, and lose 4 pounds by my birthday. So I did long everyday! Even over this weekend when I went TOTALLY over by a lot. so yay on that front. I did not run 3 days a week.…

Considering the Navy Nurse Corps myself. Still making my decision about it though... Grew up with Marine for a dad, so It's kinda in my blood.

Selfish post tonight. I have been so stressed out lately and I do not feel like myself one bit. I am grumpy and bitter and I have cried 3 out of 4 days this week. It's not about my food or exercise (although I wish I had time to run more...it usually helps with my stress). I have no idea where I am going with my life. I…

I tried them once for about 4 days. I was more exhausted, hungrier than ever and I was a total monster to everyone who came across my path. Normally I am very friendly and compassionate! When I realized how mean and grouchy I was, it was not worth it. Changing my lifestyle, though slow and tedious, is working best. I have…

When I was 11 I ate a can of tomato soup and 7 grilled cheese sandwiches when I was at my godmother's. Her 14 year old football playing son couldn't make it past 5 sandwiches. He was impressed that a 5' nothing 90pound girl out ate him without getting sick. I wasn't even uncomfortable. I've also eaten a whole large pizza…

Hello all! It seems I misspoke when typing my goals. When I said no cheat days I did not mean no indulging at all! I meant no cheating on my logging. Sometimes, after i log for the day, I'll eat one or two more things, and not log it because I know I am over my goal and I don't want to see it. I know a cheat day every once…

Hi everyone! I just came across this post, and although it's late in the month, I want to get connected in preparation for next month! I am (almost) 23 and finishing up nursing school this May. It's exciting and stressful all at once! I am so excited to get out into the real world and be a nurse but I am so stressed…
