I've read/heard that having water close by helps curb the "snacking" thing. You may be thinking you're "hungry" or need to "snack" but may be unconsciously thirsty? Not sure but I usually guzzle water when I feel the urge to snack. Then if I am still "hungry" then I eat something.

I agree. It's a shame when this happens. She should respect and recognize that you're trying to get yourself on the road to health again! It's tough enough even with support but at least you're prepared and these tips are excellent! Keep it up!

I haven't done the C25K program but did have to do a little at a time in the beginning to run. I used to HATE running and thought, heck...I live in town where things are blocks away...why not just run everywhere. It took about a month before my heart and legs got into it and then eventually I just didn't think about it…

I stick with around 1200 and try to get at least 30-45 min of exercise every other day. However, I've been reading that you can't do that too long or else your body will think it's starving.
