  • I ran 70 miles and I am happy with that since I am just getting back from having plantar fasciatis. Not really training for anything for a while.
  • As i get closer to 50 year mark, I sure hope I improve with age. So far that has been true slowly but surely I am learning to train smarter not harder.
  • I was told by a doctor that flip flops particularly flat ones are horrible for feet, legs, and back. He said to make sure shoes have at least a slight heel (not flats) to help support arch and protect your heel.:smile:
  • Stubby and ebay those are great ideas. I have some stomach distress when running 1/2 s and had yet to find something that may work. I am going to try both sweet potatoe and regular. Follow so sorry about all those medical problems but so glad you have prevailed and are staying strong. I hope one of these ideas will work…
  • I was having some problems with Plantar Fasciatis but realized if I change my shoes often, really stretch my calves and use a good stability shoe I will have less problems. Shoes are so important. I have yet to find a Nike that works for me but Asics and Saucony have worked well.
  • I have a Garmin Forerunner. I just love it have had it about 4 years and it is still going strong. I think some of the newer ones are a little more sleek but I am used to this one so it is fine.   • Most races don't care if you have the headphones if you are not a contender to win. I have ran several half marathons that say no headphones but unless you are a frontrunner they don't bother you about it.
