All I can say is I am for no processed or fake food. carbs not my issue because I fruits all the time. I do typically ignore breads. I have the same problem and you throw in the many "happy Hours" I need to attend with customer it gets crazy. One thing I started doing on some occasions is not eating at these events or with the group for lunch and just head to Subway or something where I know what I ate. It is hard though. Mine actually was was more calories on livestrong.com. As I understand men should never drop below 1200 and women should not drop below 1000 for any time period Then again I am a man with 2200 calories a day goal so I would die quickly with 1000 calories :)
