  • A previous time frame, before I lost my mind lol. See response above

  • Full disclosure here, I read this and totally stomped off and had a little mini fit lol. "I know HOW to do this" I told myself..."I've done this before!" "These people don't KNOW ME!" Grrrrrr... Then I started thinking about HOW I did this before...by weighing. Oops. Sometimes it takes people calling you out to get you to…

  • And see my response about how I know it's been a train wreck. You're gonna have to take it from me...there have been times where it's been spot ON and there's been no change.

  • But this is where it's frustrating...I can eat PERFECTLY. I can log and weigh every single thing I eat without fail for weeks. I can plan everything out perfectly and eat PERFECTLY on plan...and nothing. Nothing. So even logging and measuring completely accurately does nothing.

  • Sure....if I can figure out how. Right now it's a train wreck though. I've been in "I don't care" mode all summer. If you want to see normal, go back to like April/May....

  • It's in the normal range. A doctor recently tested my free testosterone level and it was in the "low normal range" so they put me on a tiny amount of testosterone.

  • And I don't "eat back" calories
in Frustrated Comment by mindiv August 2017
  • I actually am. I've ranged from 1,400 calories per day for many weeks to 1800 per day for many weeks and different levels in between over the past 5 years. I don't know how I couldn't be in a deficit. Like there's no possible way. I measure and weigh.

  • I'm 5'9" tall. I'm stuck at 164-166 right now for more than two years. I lost 80+ pounds several years ago, got down to 138 (which was too thin). I'd ideally like to be around 150 so I don't have but 14-15 pounds to lose but for the LIFE of me I can't get it off no matter WHAT I do.
  • I ended up with a Polar FT7. I found one on sale for cheaper than an FT4 so I went with it. We'll see what happens... Thanks y'all.
  • I was doing weights for years but the "hum-drum" daily repetition just about killed me so I stopped. Weight-wise my "gym" has only machines and a limited number of hand weights. Nothing with a bar. :/ I want to do some cardio because I find my day progresses better (i.e. I don't lose energy) if I can get my heart rate up…
  • My only hang up with the Bodymedia is the monthly subscription. I'm not sold also that I "need" 24/7 coverage though it would be cool to have. My job is mostly sedentary 75 percent of the year so outside my workout I don't get much real exercise...
  • Also just looked at Bodymedia. Now I'm totally confused.
  • Mine entirely disappeared. From a 38D to a 32B, and what's worse is I have to wear a C cup, which is too big now on top for my lack of boobage, in order to hold the loose skin left behind that never went away. :/ It's a small price to pay for being healthier though. I won't wear a swimsuit because they don't fit right. I…
  • When you feel comfortable stopping, if ever. If you feel as though you'd like to start going it on your own without being tied to MFP or a pen and paper or whatever you use to record, by all means try it. LOTS of people do lose and keep the weight off without obsessively logging day in and day out forever. BUT for me, I'll…
  • Gotta say the brownie. :) I'm a chocolate addict. And there's fiber....right?
  • I don't mind the occasional recipe, but then there are "those" people. You know the ones. The ones where you log on in the morning and have to scroll through 14 dozen posts they've "saved" to their timelines and will probably never make anyway, but they want them there "just in case" they decide to try them? Those people I…
  • I'm 5 ft 8.5 inches tall and as of this morning weigh 163. I WANT to get back to where I was pre-baby after weight loss, which was around 140, and which I maintained without any trouble at 1,800 calories a day with workouts. I do track everything. But I must admit that the longer this has gone on I've developed more of an…
  • We're in a very high poverty area. With an insanely high drug use statistic. We have high school freshmen pushing 300 pounds (and that's not muscle). I also 150% agree that it's ultimately up to the parents to teach their kids right from wrong. But so many of these kids, like others have posted, eat ONLY at school. Their…
  • This is unfortunately absolutely true. I was a picky kid growing up so I took a lunch nearly every day. I figure my little girl might, too, the way things are going...
  • I'm at war with my husband over feeding our little girl. I don't want her to be so sheltered from "junk food" that she binges on it in secret or when she's away from us when she gets older, but I don't see how it's necessary. He, his mother and his brother constantly try to feed her sweets and desserts and potato chips. It…
  • It's all processed. There's nothing freshly prepared. One year they had PBJ Uncrustables (frozen toaster treats) as a LUNCH option. They say it's healthy because nothing is fried. And they never list the vegetable options...so I figure French Fries fit into the "healthy" category more often than not.
  • About 98 percent of the time, yes. I'll check the battery!! :)
  • Awesome!!! Thanks for all the links and suggestions!!
  • You sound like me mistytopp....my weight is just stalled!
  • I am! I started it last year and loved it' and kept it up while I was pregnant as much as I could. My water actually broke when I was changing for yoga one morning! I'm just now getting back into it with a video at home twice a week. Love how it makes me feel!
  • Thanks! I'm working out five days a week....elliptical trainer/weights 30 minutes a day three days a week, and yoga two days a week. Eating as well as possible with a mobile baby and a full-time job that's more than 40 hours a week most weeks. It was way easier to lose weight pre-baby, I can tell you that. A lot of my…
  • I have to agree....a lot of women DO eat for two instead of one. What would you have recommended to someone in my position, nutrition and/or training wise, who was gaining while doing everything right during pregnancy... You know, in case I have another :)
  • It's not always so black and white. I lost 80 pounds prior to becoming pregnant, and maintained that loss for more than two years. I went into pregnancy "planning" to gain the recommended 25-30 pounds, maximum, for my height. I'd been working out and weight training five days a week and never stopped. I never missed a…
  • I must have a GREAT Subway. Workers wash their hands before putting on a new pair of gloves for every order. Lots of times will change gloves between the meat and veggies, though not always. First you get your bread, and if you get a 6 inch it gets cut with the bread knife. That knife stays behind, and your sandwich is…
