If you take your BMR and subtract 500 that is how many calories you would need to eat to lose 1 lb a week because 3500 calories is equal to 1 lb. I do one 50 min strength workout and at least one 50 min cardio work out everyday usually 2 , except Saturday and Sunday I just do 1 50 min cardio work out each day. I eat back my exercise calories and I have lost 70 Lbs and this has worked for me, but everyone is different.

I typically average about 1000 burn calories a day and yes I eat those calories back! I have lost 65 lbs so this seems to be working for me. I am now within 10 lbs of my goal weight.
