I have Supraspinatus tendonitis and bursitis but I only really get grumbles when I lift over my head which isn't even that muscle. I've been lifting light doing lat raises to shoulder height and front raises to shoulder height but nothing above my head. DB rows do make it sore occasionally but I lift a lot heavier for my…

Thanks everyone. I'm going to hire a personal trainer for a couple of weeks and keep lifting light till I'm comfortable with all ranges of movement.

Thanks I'll look that up. I tried working through the injury because the doctor told me to and it was useless because I just couldn't grip the bar and the pain would shoot down my arm. I told the physio what the doc said and he practically screamed down the phone at me to stop lifting immediately. After stupid amounts of…

I worked with a physio for a couple of months for the supraspinatus tendonitis in my right shoulder but I've never hired a PT. I have always strugged with lifting anything above my head, the physio said my muscles are very tight there but didn't really elaborate. Shoulder presses with even light weight are real struggle,…

I've fasted all my adult life twice a year after holidays and christmas. I would only drink water for first day then water and a few grapes at night second day. I do this because I over indulge and I feel bloated and sick after holidays, these days I eat more moderately but if I want ice cream on holiday, I'll bloody have…

I'm 5'7 and my goal is between 150 - 140 which was my pre twins weight but I'm weight training so I doubt I'll ever see those numbers on the scale.

I have all of Jillian Michael's DVDs and a few of Davinas. I like them all but I get bored easy. I prefer my Kinect fitness games now.

Yep stomach, hips and thighs look slimmer. Well done.

I would say ignore what fitness pal says and work out your TDEE as a active person then - 20% that's what I did and I'm getting a steady weight loss. As for abs, It's pretty much diet based and clean eating really helps. Not that I would know from experience because I've never seen my abs but I know plenty of super fit…

Fab news. The first year is the hardest but one day at a time you can do it. Keeping a good support system around you is key in recovery. I've been clean and sober for 11yrs now and my life is a thousand times better in every way, that silver lining has arrived :) Happy 100th day can't wait to celebrate your 1st year!

It's great to cleanse your palate but definitely not a lifestyle choice.

My motivation is my health. Eating the way I did was making me really sick. I would also like to go in a shop and buy a dress without looking like an elephant in a tent. I set myself mini goals to keep me motivated. I'm working on getting into the 160's at the moment and I'm training to run 5k, I also want to buy a nice…
