Hi, hoping to jump start this group again! I'm Samantha and just bought my Nutribullet RX. I have had the little Magic Bullet FOREVER and it still works great but I wanted to add greens to my smoothies. My first smoothie tasted great but the blade wasn't tight enough so started to leak. I think we caught it in time....I…

Was recently diagnosed myself. Not sure how serious as I am still waiting for referral to go through to see a liver specialist. Lost 17 lbs since April, 10 lbs in the last month doing a lower carb, lower calorie diet. I am keeping my carbs at around 60-75g and calories around 1400-1500 net. My primary care said to stay on…

Hi Pete. I believe we're still friends here. I am back after a long hiatus myself. I know what works...I just have to stay with it. Good luck to you!

Fat Free Miracle Whip. Excellent for Tuna Salad too.

You don't say anywhere how tall you are and what weight you are aiming for. Many young people as yourself are striving for too low a body weight. If you are close to a healthy weight the last few pounds can be really stubborn. I noticed in you last diary you had 600 cals left on a 1500 day. That's too low. I agree with the…

I started this group but have been lax of late. Welcome to you both. Hang in there, you both have a great start!

I live in Northern Michigan and my well is sand filtered water from Lake Michigan. It is pure and high in minerals. It's healthy for us but destroys coffeemakers. I use Brita for coffee but I love my drinking water right out of the tap.

Did line dances to the Beatles first album in my best friend's room next to the bunkbeds. Had a Beatle haircut and didn't even know it! Cried at a Monkee's Concert for PEE-TER!!!!!!

Good job. 6' and 180??? That seems thin. I don;t understand docs at all sometimes. I think you are right about 195 at your height. Continue on your program. I'm aiming for 180 and I'm a 5'7" female!

Be respectful but firm that you want to be healthy for your life. Usually you can make good choices in any meal. I was around 50 when getting serious about weight loss and my mom always thought I was losing too much. I still had 30 ls to go to get to a good medical weight. The others are right, you'll need to stop talking…

Glad to see you're still with us! I would love to put on those kinda miles but I have such bad knees working is about all I can do. I can gazelle and I hope to get my knee replaced this winter then I will be walking miles for sure! Good for you! Keep it up!

Realistic body image???? You are NOT obese by any chart. 32% Body Fat is in the normal range for women your age. As to your friends...they must be stick figures if you are obese by comparison. Husband laughing at your push up form. Was it a mean laugh or a good natured laugh. My husband and I laugh at each other all the…

Great Job! I'm in 6 months now and still have a ways to go. It always helps to read and see other people's success!

Thanks!

You're heartsick. Understandable. Give yourself some time, rest, try and eat small meals like when you are getting over a flu or something. Big hug to you.

I would like to join also. I started this journey at 271 and am now 238. 33 lbs lost since November 2011. Would like to lose at least 50-60 more but will be ecstatic to be in One-derland again. Made it there back in 2003 and I felt great!

...and a man in uniform...my husband is a security guard...very hot. I may work with him this summer. Hope he likes a woman in uniform! :blushing:

Great goals. I am working on just getting back on track and losing what I may have put on during my 2 weeks traveling around my hometown. I'll get on the scale tomorrow morning to assess the damage. Hope to eat under my goal today.

Welcome. We have a section for recipes both on our group section and in the general messaging area. I am traveling at this time so haven't been checking all the messages regularly. Regards, Samantha

Welcome back!

Welcome Rick. I have bad knees too. The hardest part of all of this is starting and now you've done that!

Beautiful area! I used to go to training a few times a year in the Leesburg Area. I would take my bike out to the Washington and Old Dominion Trail west of Leesburg and ride every evening.

A girl after my own heart!

Love the U.P.! We've been to Isle Royale multiple times. LOVE IT! Not sure I'll ever hike it again due to a bad knee but I have wonderful memories doing the trail up to Mount Franklin. I may go up there again with the Kayaks. I'm in the NW Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Plenty of hiking in my backyard! Hoping to do more this…

Welcome to our recent newcomers.

You could use oat flour and take advantage of the soluble fiber. I make my own by just putting old fashioned oats in a blender or Magic Bullet.
