Recently diagnosed with Fatty Liver, need help

Was diagnosed in early July and started changing my eating habits late July, I've lost about 7lbs total... anyone here with the same diagnosis? Have a total of 60-100 lbs to lose.

My husband has it; I restarted with MFP largely to set a good example. He's started learning more about what's actually good for him instead of just making assumptions. He switched from soda to water, from white-bread fast food sandwiches to whole-grain wraps or salads, from candy to fruit or greek yogurt. He also started doing the same 30 minute kettlebell routine I do - the beginner's kettlebell workout on Fitnessblender, using a 5/10/15 lb set. He's lost a couple of inches off his waist, dropped 10 pounds, and he says he's sleeping better. We'll see what the doctor says on his next checkup, though.

I didn't really get much feedback from my doctor, just stop eating fried foods and to start eating right and exercising, it's hard to just go by what I've been reading online, did any one see a specialist?

Schedule an appointment, with a Dietitian; not a Nutritionist! Your Doctor isn't qualified enough, to give you dietetic advice. That'd be like going to a brain surgeon, for heart surgery advice.

Same case although the diagnosis is not official. Ive only lost 14 pounds and have yet to lose around 70 more. Didn't get many tips from my doctor either.

I had a liver specialist diagnose mine. She basically told me that being overweight was the biggest cause, the longer/more I am overweight the worse the problem will become. She told me to focus on trying to lose 1 pound a week by counting calories. She said write what you are eating for a week or two, and then just try eating less calories. That was at the end of June, so far I am down 23 pounds. I don't go back for a check up until December. She wanted me to lose 25 pounds by then.

Was recently diagnosed myself. Not sure how serious as I am still waiting for referral to go through to see a liver specialist. Lost 17 lbs since April, 10 lbs in the last month doing a lower carb, lower calorie diet. I am keeping my carbs at around 60-75g and calories around 1400-1500 net. My primary care said to stay on course. Good luck everyone!
