Hi, I am new. I have been back to running for 18 months now (I am still super-slow:), but I do it all by myself, and it would be great to have an awesome group of people to share the fun with. I look forward to meeting you all. Can I have 80 miles please? And Cooriander, many thanks for organizing from me too!

I hope it's not too late to join. I look forward to being motivated and to cheering everyone on. Please put me down for 100 miles for November. So far: Nov 4th (Sun): 8 miles run; 92 miles to go.

Thanks for your helpful replies, everyone. I have been considering this but always was too scared of the horror stories.

Bump

Bump, thanks! I'll try these.

I probably got the same voucher as you. My $20 got me: 1. a large bag of frozen local strawberries ($10) and 2. two pounds heirloom tomatoes ($4.99 per lb - sale price). I recommend both greatly. For many staples that you can get elsewhere, Whole Foods is not worth it, IMO.
-
Bummer, and here I thought that maybe you got used to it. Also, this is really interesting, because I don't remember being quite that cold the one other time I was at my present weight.

Great topic! cucumbers, tomatoes, cilantro, green onions plain yogurt Bob's Red Mill oats

Just finished day 1, and it wasn't as bad as I remember! I had tried this out a few months ago, when I was in a much worse shape and it used to be really really tough. Now its just tough :-] I am excited to be doing this, and look forward to seeing everyone's progress.
-
I am starting today! No, really! In five minutes, as soon as I finish this and get off the couch, promise. I look forward to this, and thanks in advance for all the support!
-
bump... I am going to try this!
-
Bump, esp. for DHalaby73's awesome recipes.

No, sadly it's a US size. I forgot I am posting at a time when much of the US is asleep, but the UK is wide awake :) And, judging by when I feel good is great advice. Of course, it means I have ways to go...

Bump...
-
Bump, and thanks for the advice.
-
Thanks for posting this. I'll go give it a try right NOW.

Hi all - new here. I just got the book and got started yesterday and I am really excited. It's great to find this informative and supportive thread. You'll be seeing lots of me :)

Thank you, thank you! I had just resigned myself to wasting much of the huge tub of blueberries I got on sale yesterday when I found this. It came our super-delicious and easy too. Also, my new favorite snack is now the uncooked "filling": blueberries + lemon juice + cinnamon + Splenda = excellent.
