  • Its the worst! I made up for it today though with doing a ton of walking (shopping and then my friend and I walked the boardwalk). My mom would never let me have a meal replacement shake, and I'd actually rather go over a little than have that.
  • Try going and getting healthy snacks that you like, and put them in a part of the fridge or/and pantry that no one else can find! That way you have the option to snack healthily, without anyone eating anything! And what about exercise videos/exercise channel? Those allow you to exercise at home, on your own time. Even if…
  • Its so true! I decided to become a vegetarian, and even though my fake meat products have WAY less calories than the real things, I now have to be careful with snacking. Yesterday and today I had a piece of brownie, and yesterday I went to a 1.5 hour dance class, and walked a lot, so it worked out. But today I just went to…
  • I don't understand your last comment... one of my best friends was in the hospital, and the only painkiller that would work for her is Morphine (they tried everything else). Yes, it can be bad, people can become addicted to it- but people can become addicted to almost anything. Anyway, I have also heard that diet soda…

  • I get my coffee from Dunkin Donuts (French vanilla <33333), and I used to be a total regular milk and 4 sugars girl. I would get the xl size, which is like 24 ounces, and I would drink at least 5 a week (some 2x a day)! Now, I still get that size for when I go to work, but I get skim milk and put 3 Splenda in, and its…
  • I was actually on Loestrin 24 for about a year, and I noticed weight gain, so my doctor recently switched me to Yaz, which I love. I was off of birth control for about 6 months, and noticed no gain, so I think it was connected to the Loestrin. I've been on Yaz for about a month, and I love it. I've had no weight gain, and…
  • This is some great information!! I actually know someone who contracted HPV through using a public bathroom! My gyno actually had me get the vaccine even though I am not sexually active because more and more girls are getting it, and I am glad that I did. It is something that girls need to be aware of, and they should know…
  • Yes, I'm not the only one that counts shopping as an exercise, lol!!! I actually take the long way to stores, and will walk back and forth across the mall so I get more exercise. I count things such as running up and down the stairs at work, because some days I'll do it 10 times, and some days I'll do it 3. I work…
  • A long-haired cat would be best for your situation. I've had cats my entire life, and my long-haired boy sheds way less than my tabby girl does. You just have to brush them to make sure that they don't get knots.
  • The last book annoyed me A LOT. I was disappointed, and I was looking forward to a fight. The books are very light reads. The show is pretty true to them, the only difference is that the brother plays a bigger role on the show, and the best friend, Tara, is only in the show, not in the books at all.
  • Yeah, its called True Blood, its been on for a few weeks now. I love the show, and just bought the first book today. I read the Twilight series, and I hated it. I feel that the storyline is good, but the books are poorly written, some things are rushed, and other things are dragged out that shouldn't be.
  • I LOVE Shock Absorber's sports bras: http://www.figleaves.com/us/productsincategory.asp?brand=222&node_id=109 They keep everything in place, and don't give you that double boob look that some sports bras do. I like how they have regular pullover bras, and also ones that have the hooks in the back so they're adjustable.…
  • Yes, it helps, thank you!!! I was never good at science, or math, lol.
  • According to the BMR calculator, my BMR is 1,517 calories/day, but on this site, my recommended daily total in order to lose 1lb a week is 1,400. Is it supposed to be like that? It seems kind of off to me.
  • Yeah, I realized now that I should've specified that. Those are supposed to be good, maybe I'll get one of theirs. Thanks!! Oh, is that your puppy in your ticker? He/she is adorable!! My digital scale from Conair was ok, but lately its been giving me strange numbers. I'll weigh myself a few times to make sure its correct,…
  • Which ones do you guys like?
  • I would log an estimate of how much time you would be dancing now, you may be surprised at how much 1.5 hours of it can burn! For me, it was 536 calories! Also, maybe try looking up drinks you think you may have, it can give you a better idea of how the night may go.
  • That is so true!! Like, when I dance, I have 3 classes on Saturdays, and what I do to even out my caloric intake is drink a Vitamin Water or 2 (usually I drink around 1 1/2), it makes up for some of what I burned! People need to realize that you need to put back in what you're taking out.
  • I would get another female cat, they typically do not mark their territories (but, there are some exceptions like the one you had). However, I would not get a full-grown cat, I would get a kitten instead so it could bond with the baby and hopefully not have any jealousy issues. And don't forget to adopt from a shelter or a…
  • I have a friend like that, she eats way more, and way worse than I do, and is a toothpick. However, she is a swimmer and dancer, but during the summer, she doesn't do that and is still super thin. And then complains that she's fat!! I love her to death, but I hate her when she says that, lol.
  • I live in Staten Island, and my high school was pretty much on the water (but facing Brooklyn), so all I could see was smoke. I remember it so vividly, it was my 4th day of my FRESHMAN year and my friends and I were just terrified of what was going on. I was in my first period Biology class when the planes hit, and in…
  • I'm going to be Alice in Wonderland, but with a twist:
  • Everyone is different. Some people just don't realize that they have to exercise to lose weight (you may laugh, but when I went to Weight Watchers and my leader would ask who exercised, I was one of the few that did, and many members would say "oh, its because you're young"), that it will just come off by dieting. Also,…
  • Hi! I'm Shannon, and I'm a former member of Weight Watchers. I had to stop going to meetings because my class schedule at college and work schedule are all during meeting times. I stumbled upon this site, and thought it would be a good idea to sign up. I'm in my 4th year of college, it is definitely not my last, but I am…

  • I have polycystic ovary syndrome, and I have 2 cysts (I named them, lol), and I hate them, so I do hope that you don't have them. I'm supposed to go for a sonogram because the last one I had was February of 2007, when my pediatrician and my mom (she's a nurse) both thought that I had appendicitis, but it turned out to be 2…
  • I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 17 (I'm 20 now), and have been taking Synthroid since then. It has helped me a lot, before I went on it, I was at my highest weight ever, which is about 15-20lbs heavier than I am now. After I went on it, I lost that weight by that December (I started taking the pill that…
  • You could maybe do that cross with your son's initials on it, or under it, that would be nice! I've been putting this off for years, but I plan on getting 3 stars on the inside of my wrist, for my parents and my brother. And on the other I want to get a pink pointe (toe) shoe ribbon (because I've been dancing for 17 years)…
