Ive been on MFP for years and have never followed the calculator. I lost 40 pounds years ago and recently gained 10. I used the scooby calculator and it put me around 1500 calories which is below my BMR and thats not going to work. I know it has to be higher than my BMR

BC itself doesnt cause weight gain which I know. Its just unfortunately, one of the side effects is weight gain.

Calorie deficit is not working. Before I started BC I lost all the wieght i needed to lose and was maintaining. The weight I have gained wasnt from over eating, thats for sure.

Im not taking nor am i gonna take BC again. Many women have complained about weight gain after BC. Its fairly common.

It depends on the store. I went from an XL to M in tops but in bottoms im a 8. Im 5'7 160lbs. In certain stores im a s and can sometimes wear an xs.

My fiber goal is 65g. I get pretty close to it by eating chia seeds and flax seeds with everything.

Were you on a VLCD before em2wl? I remember when I first upped my calories from a VLCD to 2000 calories I immediately lost weight. Keep us udated!

Going to the doc was my next step but im trying all avenues first before I actually book an apointment.

Yes, 15lbs of water weight. I track everything and there is no way I gained 15lbs of fat. The weight gain was reletively quick, I will clairfy that it didnt take me 6 months to gain 15lbs, it actually happened quicker than that.

I stopped losing weight a year ago because i was at my goal weight. I was maintaining. Being on BC was like PMS'ing all the time. I dont think my body was sodium starved since before I started BC, i could eat foods high in sodium, gain weight and lose it in 3 days. Many women who have taken BC have the same problem.

I feel like im going to be dealing with this for the rest of my life. I have to be super strict to not gain any weight but losing it takes forever. Before I ever took BC, I could eat salty food, gain weight and lose it in 3 days. Now, after BC, i cant even eat the snack bag of doritos without gaining 3 pounds. I dont drink…

For the resistance training, i just watch youtube videos with the butterfly band.

My update. I did my best, weighed, measured and logged everything I ate. I did cardio for 30 minutes a day, and 10 minutes of resistance training. During the week of 3/9 to 3/15, I was on my monthly, when I weighed myself after that was over, I weighed 158 lbs. I continued to follow routine and as of today, I weigh 160…

i am eating at a deficit though. my tdee is a little over 2300 calories. i eat 2000 calories and burn about 300 from running. my bmr is a little over 1500, so i dont see how eating less would help. i dont want to go under my BMR. like i said, im doing the tdee - 15% method.

yea, i always over eat the first 3 days or so and once its over, i usually drop a little weight from what i weighed when TOM started.
