  • No. Input your weight. I always do manual, asks for weight. And I do a level 10. All depends on weight, speed, duration and level.
  • I need more definition and toning. Bigger and more muscular. Less jiggly
  • Eating 1000 calories a day is not healthy. You need to eat more. What are your stats? Google TDEE and use that method. If I can help send me a message
  • I found a formula a long time ago for when lifting weights and it's what I use to calculate. This factors in rest periods. Now, that means standing around chatting with friends....it means workout, quick break, workout, quick break..... Multiply your weight by minutes and then multiply that by .039. So for me..... 30mins…
  • I have coffee every day! Some times 2 cups. It's something that I don't want to give up....so I wont! I enjoy it and so can you!
  • Everything has changed for me. I feel fantastic Love working out Am coaching softball and also play on 2 coed teams (no way I could of done this 90lbs ago) I LOVE to shop now, when I used to dread walking into a store I have others ask me for tips and what to do to make their weight loss successful I love helping others…
  • Great changes! Congrats! You look good the way you are. I say do what makes you happiest. I personally don't think you should lose more, but who am I to say?!?!?!
  • Loved the article. Thanks for sharing! I'm often the only female in the weight area of the gym. Needed to read the oblique part of this. Great info!
  • Finally a calculator that I like! 24BMI You have a lower BMI than 82% of females aged 30-44 in your country You have a lower BMI than 52% of females aged 30-44 in the world If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 286,965 tonnes fromthe total weight of the world's population Ive worked dang hard to…
  • Opposite for me. I see pics of myself (now) and I'm like "whoa...that's ME"! I don't realize how much I've lost and that I'm not still hugely overweight! I love pics.....now.
  • You are in control now...not him. Take control of your life and make it great. The gym is hard to get into but after a few days of doing it with the right attitude you will find that you WANT to be there!
  • For me? I noticed within myself at about 20 lbs. Others really started to notice when I hit the 40lb mark. And at 41lbs I got comments daily for months as I kept loosing. Stick with it!! Slow and steady!

  • Google Les Mills and go from there. I've looked it up before....lemme go find and I'll link it here.
  • Take if 5lbs at a time! Reward yourself once a week with a "cheat" meal. Not a day, but a meal. Stay focused, log what you eat and what exercise you do. If you follow MFP suggestions, you will lose. The first week or 2 is the hardest on the eating part....at least for me it was. Slow and steady weight loss is the best way…
  • Your goals are achievable! I started Jan 31, 2012 at 32 years old. I am 5'9" so a little taller than you but I weighed 250lbs. I was overweight for many years....at least 5 or more. I've lost 90lbs and am getting in shape. I love fitness and healthy eating. I do have some problem areas that I don't just love but I'm pretty…
  • You can do it. I lost 65lbs in one year! Jan 31, 2012-Jan 31, 2013. I had several weeks off during that time for vacations and traveling. Put your mind to it and take it 1 day at a time. I recommend giving yourself a cheat day once a week to reward yourself for doing good all week!
  • Week 1 was like torture for me. When you're used to eating anything and everything and not even thinking about what you're putting in your mouth and you change that to BAM, I cant eat all that garbage anymore....it is a huge adjustment. Mentally challenging, mostly. Make it through the week...and then tackle each day as a…
  • First, stop calling it a diet. It is a lifestyle that you are after. Take it 5lbs at a time...slow and steady. Do not give in...keep at it and your body will catch up. I give myself a cheat day which is usually Friday nights to go to dinner and eat. This has worked for me as a good reward and something to look forward to…
  • Gross...just gross. Daily hair washer here...sometimes 2 times/day.
  • Absolutely! Why not?
  • Remember that you are doing this for yourself....and no one else. Clean up your friends list and get a good support system. I know how important a good support system is.
  • Eat! I eat every night, right before bed. A calorie is a calorie...doesn't matter when you consume it!
  • I love your excuses. They are all very valid. But, what I love more is your list of reasons you CAN get back to it. You deserve it, and your family does too. A 30 min workout adds up over a weeks time. Every little bit counts. You don't have to go to a gym for 2 hours to make changes. What are your goals? Sort term and…
  • Pinterest helps me a lot. If I sit and look for some healthy recipes or good self help quotes, it does the trick.
  • Way to go on your 40! Great work! Keep it up and your hard work will be rewarded!
  • When I started lifting I googled a lot of videos and watched about form and reps. Learned on my own! Spend some time doing a little research and then just do it!
  • Me...see my profile pic. Wouldn't let me do full shot. I have white knee highs on that make the outfit.
  • Welcome! I hope you use MFP as a tool like I have in losing weight and getting healthy. If you log your foods and play the #'s game it works. Watch your portion control, snack healthy instead of junk foods, exercise and try your hardest. Stick with it and be consistent and you will succeed!
