I think he has a problem. You sound like you have been doing so well with both your weight and trying not to spend more money since you have debt. Then your husband buys those geeky helicopters! More spending is not the answer. He needs to be more appreciative and get on board with your efforts.

I think you need more fats, less carbs - to me your protein intake is fairly adequate. Some form of nuts throughout the day (e.g. cashews, almonds) unless you have allergies.

Whenever, I have trouble getting back to exercising, I take a really long walk (2 hours or more). It seems to clear my brain of obstacles and I am ready to work out the next day feeling fresh. I think the reason it works is that you are just walking which fools your procrastination mechanism.

Sometimes I feel that much of the exercise counts are exagerated and don't take into account the fact that you would be burning something even if you weren't exercising. Yes, this is the toughest part without question. In some ways, it makes the case for using prepared foods. Actually, I think there is a wide range of acceptable weight for women. The media just makes it seem like it is very narrow. I think for the average woman there is probably a range of about 25 lbs + or - average that is perfectly fine.

Actually, there was a book in the early 80's called something like "jogging myth" that addressed this very issue. Essentially, movement like walking with a little bit of strength training is supposedly statistically better for you than intense cardio excercise.

Sometimes I think the nature of posting messages with text makes things seem colder. If someone told you they thought something was not a good idea in person, it would come across differently than it reads. I do believe that the majority of people here are always trying to be helpful.

I know for a fact that I snack a good bit more when I am not updating MFP. So I don't think I would be successful without something like it.

I have been led to believe it is on the side, with a pillow of some sort between your knees and your head at an angle that keeps the neck in line with the spine.
