I just discovered my love for quinoa so I'm going to try your suggestion with it first. I already know my love of whole-grain pasta and brown rice. Don't know why I never thought to make in big batches for the week. Thanks for the suggestion!

Add a little low fat/non-fat coleslaw dressing, some nuts and some dried cranberries...YUMMM! (and note...you really don't need much dressing at all for this!)

Thank you for sharing your story Matt. No doubt there are others here that have gone through the same pain. Your story and your motivation will inspire others...I'm sure of it. You have found the key to success...making a change, and doing it for YOU! You CAN do it....You CAN succeed! Feel free to add me if you'd like.

Most of my friends also went inactive. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

I have cut WAY back on the amount of bread I eat....I was that person that could eat a whole loaf of garlic bread in one sitting. I don't know that I can give up bread or pasta completely...just don't see that in our lifestyle. But, I will try to cut back more!! Like today, I intended to make my self a little chicken salad…

Thanks! Headed to the fridge now to grab some shaved chicken breast to nibble on! Someone needs to find a way to grow fruits and veggies that have Protein...not carbs!! They'd make a fortune!

Mariah, I have been over weight pretty much my whole life...except for a brief period way back in high school when I was on the danceline and very active. I too have lost weight and then gained it back...and then some. I have been off and on of MFP...and am recently back at it again (proud to say that after being away from…

It would be AMAZING if MFP could add that ability. It would help me out sooo much!!!

Woohoo!!! Almost there! Keep it up!!! I've been so busy this week that I haven't had a chance to get my before/after pics up. Hoping to work on it tomorrow night.

Great job!!!

Woohoo!!! Great job!!!

I finished day 5 of level 3 yesterday. My routine is 3 days on, 1 day off, and repeat. And, I'm not doing anything else workout wise. My body needs a rest day, and I find anything more than one day away from a workout it makes it harder to get back into it. (for me anyway!) I'm liking the results, and can't wait to take my…

Yay!! Awesome job!!! Can't wait for you to join me in level 3!!!
-
Thanks!!! I needed that! I had a really rough day today....but came home and really dug deep and pushed myself in today's workout. Starting to get out of my funk!
-
Woohoo!! Proud of you girl!!! I'm excited to have some company in level 3!!! I think the mountain climbers are easier than the squat thrusts...for me at least!! The only thing I just have NOT been able to do is the abs in circuit 3...the side raises. I just cannot get my body to do that. So, I just alternate doing other ab…

You go girls!!! You ARE amazing!! Can't wait for you to join me in level 3!! Keep up the hard work!!!

I finised day three of level three yesterday. I've lost 4 lbs, but several inches!! Has really helped tighten up my legs, butt, stomach and arm. I really like it!
-
You are not alone!!! I too dropped in calories burned as I progressed through. I think it is the body getting used to the routine. Try doing some of the advanced moves if you aren't already...or, maybe try upping the weights you use. Those things helped me to get my burn back up. And if all else fails, do an extra cardio…

Thanks so much! I'm really sticking to my schedule on this!

So glad I found this group!!! And I'm a total spreadsheet lover, so this will be right up my alley!!! I've been doing the 30 Day Shred (along with others in another group), but I'm on my last 10 days. I will be done with it by mid June, so this group will hopefully keep me motivated to go onto another workout routine.…

Woohoo!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!

I too am taking more of the rests than I did in level 1. So far every day after set one, all I can think is, "dear god, there are two more sets of this madness". But, I push through. Like you said....it's only 20 mins. I think I recall watching level 3 a while back and thought it looked easier. But, then again....things…

All in all, I'm feeling great! I did day 10, level 1 on Friday...day 1, level 2 on Saturday...and day 2, level 2 yesterday. Today is my rest day (I do 3 day in a row and then rest a day, then repeat). Level 2 is really working my back and shoulders so they are sore, but a good sore. My energy level is way up overall. I'm…
-
Day 1, level 2 -- DONE!! WOW!!! I felt so out of shape again...just like day 1, level 1. Hopefully will get a little easier each day...just like level 1. I gotta be careful on the jumping twists....last time I did 30DS I tweaked my back doing them. My back would spasm and it was not fun. If that happens again, I'm just…

What a great success!!! Thank you for sharing - this is an inspiration and a reality check to all of us that have days where we slip up and/or struggle. This IS a lifelong journey so we should not punish ourselves for enjoying one day. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift...that's why it's called…

day 10, level 1 - DONE. I'm disappointed that I didn't put my all into the last workout of level 1. And, the calories burned reflected it. I'm sure I could come up with a 100 excuses, but it really just boils down to the fact that I did not give it my best effort. But, I still did it. Nervous to start level 2 tomorrow -…

OH....I can't wait to get home from work to do my last day of level 1. You gals are inspiring!!!! Before I start level 2 tomorrow, I'm going to take some pics. I took pics before I started 30DS....and I'm curious to see if I can see any results in the pics. I certianly feel results if nothing else, and my clothes are…
