Shoot for the 200 and see how you look and feel. You can always make adjustments from that point. Good luck and great job!

People who take the elevator up to the second floor workout area make me insane! There's this one guy who takes the elevator to the second floor then gets on an elliptical for 45 minutes or so. What, that flight of stairs is going to push you over the edge? I don't think so.

Step away from the jar of peanut butter...

The deepest, darkest, richest, chocolate cake I could find.

Mint! I can barely manage minty toothpaste and don't get me started on mint chocolate chip ice cream! Why would you want to do that to chocolate chips!

Alice Cooper's Poison. The beat is awesome and it takes me way back.

1 tsp of brown sugar and 1 Tbsp of peanut butter in it and then sprinkle 1/2 Tbsp of mini chocolate chips on top

I have something sweet every day.

I use Hellman's light. It's the only light mayo I'll use. I'm sort of a mayo snob that way:smile:

I can't help with the unsupportive family part but I would highly suggest getting a couple of healthy college type cookbooks. The recipes are reasonably healthy and reasonably simple and they usually do a good job explaining specific cooking techniques for the different recipes.

Music all the way.

Go and do something easy to begin with and work up to something more strenuous if you feel like it. When I'm sick I never really feel like working out but I always feel way better once I actually start moving.
-
Honestly, you need to make working out part of your day. Don't fit it in, just make it part of your routine. I started getting up half an hour earlier in the mornings and streamlined things a bit so I have time to work out before work. Monday through Friday it's not a question of if I'm going to work out, it's more of a…

I'm a fiend for either red velvet or carrot cake.

I don't usually get lunch until around 2:30 so I tend to eat dinner between 7 and 8.

It may not be the healthiest choice out there but if it fits within your calorie budget and that's what you want then have some Froot Loops. Better to do that then to be wanting Froot Loops and have something else instead that doesn't satisfy your wants and then end up having the Froot Loops on top of the something else.

That sounds fantastic!

If you're feeling really decadent sprinkle about half a Tbsp of mini chocolate chips on top after you stir the peanut butter in. It's totally worth the extra 40 calories:wink:

I tend to use whatever marinade I have on hand. Right now I'm using a Kroger brand Sesame Ginger 30 minute marinade. Basically, I stir fry whatever and add 1 tbsp per serving. If I remember correctly, it has about 35 calories a tbsp.

This is similar to my (actually my grandmother's) peanut butter pie recipe! I'm going to have to give it a try soon!

I was going to say mullets and hair bands lol!

Depending on what you choose, Jimmy John's has some reasonably healthy choices but from the sound of it I doubt she would have chosen any of them... Anyway, my mother had quadruple bypass back in September and pretty much refuses to eat anything healthy. She's supposed to be limited to 3 eggs a week. That doesn't happen.…

I can't find those friggin' noodles anywhere locally. I've seen them one time and didn't buy them and that was it!

When I first started trying to eat healthier and lose weight (pre mfp/pre smart phone) I went through the nutritional information of McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, and Taco Bell and made a list of a few healthier choices from each place just in case out was out at lunch or dinner time. In theory I used the same list on…

The Turkey Tom actually has fewer calories than the Veggie but I think the Veggie has more flavor. I alternate between the two. Also, if you're just talking calories getting the wheat bread on any of the subs (not the clubs) adds about 100 calories to the sandwich.

stupid double post

You should already be at a calorie deficit so if you're set to lose 1 lb/week (for instance) and you eat all of your exercise calories back then you should still lose 1 lb/week.

I avoid anything that requires a lot of fat-free this or that and a lot of the stuff just sounds nasty. That being said, I love the different "egg mug" things she does. Also, the double-o-cinnamon apple breakfast bowl is excellent and my favorite easy salmon recipe of all time is one of hers. I can't remember the name but…

This sounds excellent! I'm trying to get into the habit of planning out my meals so this week is done but I'm going to try these next week. Thanks for sharing!
