Happily single.

Thanks for all the responses and I will try and be patient to see what the next couple of weeks show. Nice to know I can drink tea and still be getting in some of my water that way.

Following so I can find this later.

Thanks for your response. I had forgotten about green tea being beneficial and I do like that, so I will try and start drinking that in the mornings and then switch to water when I get to work and see if that helps me.

I try to check my measurements every week, but sometimes wait 2. I'm like you where I weigh daily to see the fluctuations, but I try to only take my "official" weigh-in weekly.

I have about 3-4 sizes I think. Some bigger and some smaller than my current size. Just can't bring myself to get rid of them yet.

Food excuse: It's so much easier to just grab the junk that I have in my house instead of taking the time to fix something healthy. Exercise excuse: Need extra time with my kid, too tired, friends can't meet me there, etc. I have a TON of exercise excuses which is why I'm in the boat I'm in,

Wow, nice to see there's at least one still out there. I can play pretty much any woodwind musical instrument and can play back music I've just heard (to some extent) I was born and raised on a farm, but I don't have a clue how to drive a tractor

Of course.

It was an old nickname I came up with when I was online in high school and setting up an old email address and it just knda stuck. 80 is the year I was born.

Sure.

Yep

Right now I'm focusing on me and my daughter. I'm not opposed to dating and do occasionally, but it's definitely not my focus. Sometimes it's just easier that way.
-
Feel free to add me as well. I am definitely needing the extra motivation right now.

40F, no very rarely do I sleep in a bra. If I'm staying somewhere other than home, I will occasionally sleep in a sports bra, but that's the extent.

Would love to drop at least 30 lbs by the end of May. Guess that means I need to get in gear. :-)

I prefer guys that are older than me. I'd say my range is probably 30-43 but just depends on the connection.
-
Definitely both. I've had some start off with the physical drawing me in and others where it's someone I wouldn't have gotten involved with if I hadn't given them the time to get to know them first.

As for food, I second using your slow cooker. I tend to cook up a large batch of plain chicken on Sunday and then use it in a variety of ways during the week. This saves me a ton of time at night and also makes it easier to grab and go for lunches. As for working out, you might try and pick up some exercise DVD's that you…

Thanks ladies! A personal trainer isn't exactly in the budget at this point, but I am trying to get it worked out. I appreciate the book recommendation and will check into that in the meantime. I'm sure a lot of my issue is just my personal insecurity of going to the gym and everyone watching me (even though I know they…

Confident, determined, and edgy

Probably not.

I wouldn't take offense to it. Friends and people around me use that term quite a bit, so if it's offensive to some, I'm clueless!

Working, then headed to the gym, and then home for some movies and relaxing. It's just another normal Friday night in my book.
-
Congratulations! It's amazing how much getting past that milestone can really help you mentally!

Hi everyone, I'm Kristi. I just stumbled across this group and it sounded like it was right up my alley. I've dealt with weight issues my entire life and done the yo-yo dieting for years. I'm finally trying to do it the right way so I can help my daughter learn better eating habits so she hopefully won't struggle with her…

I'm in the same boat as all of you ladies. Anyone can add me. I'm looking to lose 60-70 lbs at this point.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize I could make them in the crockpot myself. I will check into that option.
