  • I'm going gluten free myself after reading all the things it can effect. It's in soooooo many things but I've been pretty surprised what all can be found that's gluten free. I read that there are some apps out that will actually scan barcodes that will then tell you if it's gluten free or not but I haven't found it yet. If…
  • shirleygirl91 ....have you tried heating them for 10 seconds? Makes it much much better plus that's what I was told to do with them when I bought them from my health food lady.
  • I have PCOS as well and I'll be sending you a friends request. Anybody feel free to send me one as well just please send a note along with it :-)
  • Thank you so much for responding I will definitely call and check it out! Good luck to both you and your wife with your weight loss!
  • So glad you are ok. I would have freaked out if it had happened to me.
  • Hi Neewmee!!! I have PCOS too. I focus on the carbs myself. I try and keep them under 40 per day. If I go over a bit I don't freak out I just start over the next day. Granted we did have different surgeries...I had the sleeve. I try and go for just good carbs when I'm getting them and avoid the bad ones like the plague.…
  • Generally I have a Protein shake that I make with American muscle's Isolyn and mix it with either 2% high protein milk or unsweetened almond milk. When I get bored with it or just want to shake things up I'll put in some pb2 or sf davinci syrup.
  • I'm in the Sea World area too! LOL don't ask me what the area is called I just moved here on the 1st.
  • This is the link to the video. He goes into why hfcs and sugar and why we need to cut them out and how our bodies really don't break down the hfcs and what it does to our bodies....it can be drawn out at some points and you'll want to turn it off but stick with it and finish watching it.…
  • Hi Laura-Ann! I believe certain foods do in fact affect ovulation and PCOS in general. I try to stay away from soy if at all possible and avoid high fructose corn syrup like the plague! I actually got my cycle pretty much on track after not having them but twice a year from cutting out the hfcs. I also try to stay away…
  • Onaughmae...We truly are neighbors! We live off of Potranco as well in the Brycewood addition. Thank you for checking it out for me :-) Like you said online support is great and I love it! But face to face would be awesome!
  • Mstexas98...thank you I'm trying lol. We do avoid buffets like the plague since my hubby and myself have both had the sleeve done but sometimes we do end up going due to others wanting to go one. I'd much rather go some place and have some good for me left overs to take home and eat on about four more times or so lol.…
  • Cbbarge...sadly we aren't military affiliated. Good to know they have good ones though for whoever else might be looking in the area! Thank you :-) Sara
  • Onaughmae... we live in the nw/far west side too and can actually see the rides from sea world from here! I had my surgery done in Tyler which is about half way between dallas and shreveport by dr beall...he and his staff are awesome btw. They had support there but I never felt the real need to go to any since I lived in…
  • Awyatt69 ....thank you anyway and for responding :-). We actually almost chose to be transfered there instead of here. I've been really suprised at not finding any open support groups in such a big city as San Antonio. Sara
  • I had to have them the same exact length of time. Yes the upper tummy. Just make sure not give them in the same spot each time and do like them like Sarah said. They can be a bit painful if you don't grab enough. Don't be surprised if your belly gets all bruised up from them as well.
  • I'm a gastric sleever as well as of 2,29,12. Anybody feel free to add me...we all need as much support as we can get!
  • Hi :-) I'm a gastric sleever as of Feb 29, 2012. Would love for other sleevers to talk to as well. Glad your doing great btw.
