  • I know you said you have a shake before your run, but I would reccommend the GNC Lean Shakes. I get the pre-made ones because they're easy for me at work and they taste really good. Maybe you should have the salad before your run and the shake after. Calories- 170 Fat- 6g Protein- 25g Carbs- 6g Sugar- 2g Fiber- 3g
  • Well, I'm usually 132-136, but I am now up to 142 due to lack of discipline and a TON of travel in the last 5 weeks. The lowest I've been able to get is to 128, but it's a super hard struggle. I would LOVE to be 125 on a bad day. I look good at 128 though. Right now I can still fit into my 4s and 6s, but I'd like to be…
  • Wow, I just realized that the only thing smaller on me than Marilyn is my boobs. I'm not big or small, but I always thought I would be smaller than her. I don't even know how a waist that small is possible. If I cut out carbs and ran my *kitten* off I could possibly get mine to 25, but I don't know. My hips are like a 38…
  • I was just thinking that too! The lowest BF I would want is 18% and that's the LOWEST. Healthy range for a woman is 18-26% I think or something like that. Measured with calipers at 7 points I am 18%, but that only measures my skinny parts and 1 thigh measurement. I am small frame up top and probably a medium frame hips…
  • I think it depends on what you want. I wouldn't want to build mine really. I would want to burn fat and let the muscle show, but keep it as small as possible.
  • I started yoga when I was having knee problems and had to stop running and doing other cardio. I started with the hot yoga. I LOVE it! I'm not as disciplined right now, but will be back on track after Christmas. It increased my flexibility a lot! It also strengthened my entire body. After 6 months of yoga as my only…
  • compression capris and either a fitted long sleeve shirt/dry-fit t-shirt/ribbed tank. I sometimes prefer to wear long sleeves because it keeps sweat from dripping off my elbows, lol.
  • I was having trouble with my IT Band, which is a muscle, but I was feeling the pain in my knee. I couldn't run more than a quarter mile without having to stop and then it would result in a 3 day painful limp. Only hurt if I ran, but would go away after not doing anything for a few days. The pain originally started when I…
  • I like this idea. Last month I tried to commit to a 30 day challenge doing the 30 Day Shred. There was travel, hectic schedules and injuries involved so I did not make it. I got about half altogether. I think I can accomplish goals if they're set daily, but if not then I can just start over the next day. Got a good workout…
  • I find that it helps if I constantly remind myself to push down with my heels- for the elliptical. I think I have poor circulation and that's why it happens. Today some of my middle toes on my left foot were numb from my heels. I wear them all the time but every once in a while this happens. I just circled my ankle around…
  • I have trouble with that too. I try to follow the 1200 that mfp says, but that is so hard for me. I feel like 1500 is good, but if I try for less that usually results in me being hungry/miserable and then I eventually crave really high calorie foods like crazy.
  • I was 135 this morning, would love to be under 130 by New Years!
  • So I've gained 2.5 lbs and lost 1.75 inches. Felt kind of bloated this morning, so I was surprised to see any inches changed. I guess this is okay. Not so thrilled about being heavier, but this is where my inches were lost: .5 on my arm .25 on my waist .5 on hips .5 on thighs
  • I feel like I'm meant to weigh 132. My body seems to try to stay there no matter what I do. If I get too out of control I'll be 140 or slightly more, but I can always find my way back to 132. lol
  • It's a toss up for me. Sometimes I make terrible food choices and then I can get an incredible workout later. Although, sometimes I eat bad all day and then lack motivation to workout. I think for me they usually go together. If I'm off track with one, I'll more than likely be off track with the other by the next day. I'm…
  • I totally got the moves in tonight throughout my workout. I'm pretty sure 1.5 hours at the gym lastnight and 2 hours tonight has me caught up from the 4 days I missed. :)
  • I wouldn't weigh the entire fruit. Make sure your cut it first. You don't want the extra weight of the core or seeds? I don't weigh anything, I figure the guess for what's medium and such is close enough. I try to be under my calories anyway just for things like that. Not sure if you were only weighing the parts you were…
  • At my heaviest I was 170 and wore a size 12 at Old Navy Now, I am 132 and I can wear a 2 or 4 depending on the brand and cut. I am kind of curvy too, so I found a new love in Express (size 2 or 4) jeans and Levi's supreme curve size 27.
  • Okay, so I skipped out for 4 days. A lot has been going on and I've been eating my emotions yadda yadda yadda. I didn't get up yesterday morning, but I went to the gym after work and had a total butt-kicking time. I did an hour long circuit class and ran 2 miles and walked an additional mile. Tonight I hope to make it to…
  • So I did not manage to get myself to shred or run yesterday or day before. I have been so exhausted for the past 2 days and yesterday was just a miserable day all around. The good news is that this morning I woke up feeling well rested, so I truly believe I will get to it today after work. I stopped at Dunkin this morning…
  • I had heard someone once say they didn't have any weights so they used canned food. I've done it before. It might be better than nothing.
  • I didn't manage to get day 6 in. I was going to get up early today and shred and run, but I was just too exhausted and it's way too easy to snooze. I'll just have to fit it in tonight. I literally worked all day Saturday but managed to get a great workout in at 9PM, but I think the toll was really taken into effect on…
  • Okay, so Saturday night I was all about it. Started the dvd around 915PM and then ran 4.5 miles. This was after working for my old employer all day and then doing work for my current employer when I got home. Sunday, on the other hand, was a different story. Me and my bf went to breakfast, I got an omelet instead of my…
  • Just did my Day 5 shred. Really late start- after 9PM, but it was great. I've been running afterward and it's been nice. I did a slow mile with my bulldog and then an additional 3.5 miles on my own. Probably not a smart idea to run outside around 10PM, but I had a real Forrest Gump moment, 'I just felt like running', lol.…
  • I told myself that I wasn't going to weigh myself until the 15th, but I cheated and hopped on the scale. I was 1.5 lbs lighter, but I'm not logging it until the 15th. This will help me to see if I can maintain what I saw today. I'm going to try not to weigh myslef, but it's really hard. I just felt different this morning…
  • I have my profile set to lose 2 lbs a week, but that didn't change my calories. MFP wont let it go under 1200 NET calories for me, so the most I could lose is .9 a week if I follow the plan. I am one of those that are ALWAYS hungry, so I really just use this site so I can keep my carbs and calories in check, especially…
  • Hello there. I am 26 and I am about 5'4, maybe .25 in shorter who knows I think I am medium build, and pear shaped as someone else said. I am mostly bottom heavy and my hips/saddle bags give me a weird triangle shape. Current weight: 132 Size: 2-express or 4- dress pants, levis supreme curve, sometimes 6 or 7- juniors but…
  • You are the lightest in the morning and the heaviest at night. I would weigh every week. Pick a day, I like Monday so I can see if the weekend set me back. Use your AM weight. Too much will drive you crazy since weight fluctuates so much throughout a day and week.
  • I'm kind of thinking I might gain weight, but if I lose the inches I want (hips and thighs) and tone up my stomach more then I will be happy. I've tried to incorporate a run as well, so hopefully I don't just gain muscle. I'd like to be 125 by the end, but seeing as though the lowest I have EVER been is 128, and that was…
  • I struggle with a few things. I usually just run or take classes so I haven't done anything with weights in a really long time. Always afraid of bulking up. Although, I am going to try to add an evening run to see if that helps me get the results I want. Pushups are the enemy. I think I was worse at them today than I was…
