Congratulations on your achievements! You really are inspirational. I identify with "feeling" like the fat/big girl. I still feel like that, sadly. Probably because I'm freakishly tall. I still constantly find myself wishing that I was one of the "small" girls

@sunglasses 9.0 (not 10, because I can't see your face)

:blushing: :smooched:  You are Just the sweetest thing EVARRRrrr! I do Pole Fitness which is pretty hectic on your entire body. Other than that I do calf raises where ever and when ever I stand still, but I squeeeeeze my butt while doing it. And then the major killer is plea squats. You can add weights to increase…

This is really inspirational! I have weird knees that dislocate themselves...( I know, eew right?) In conjunction with that, I used to be a long distance runner. I was really good. But alas, my knees gave out, and so began my struggle to simply walk without it feeling like there are shards of glass in my knees. I've had…

1) A classmate at University commented on how much weight I've gained over the years, then suggested I try her soup diet. (By the way, this girl is now almost wider than she is tall... I know I'm horrid, but the thought made me happy) It's basically just a brothy vegetable soup, actually quite nice tasting. I ate only that…

^^^^ Absolutely bonkers. Love it. :flowerforyou:

^^^^ So with you on this! It's not always that I crave to stuff my face with junk, it's just that at dinner time I feel that husband has more freedom to feast until replete. Whereas I need to measure and count each bite. I feel "cheated" when I can't eat a huge plate of pasta, and he goes back for seconds.

Congrats, dude! :drinker: You look fantastic! Keep posting updates, because somewhere out there is another person unhappy with him/herself and your bit of inspiration could be what triggers their own success story.

I'm also really curious about this. It seems everyone has a different opinion. This is what I have gathered from reading some articles on fitness blogs, and talking to the professionals at my gym. (But I must warn you, those "professionals" at my gym are a bit daft. I saw one pulling on a triceps-push-down machine. Made me…

I agree wholeheartedly!

Oh dear. I'm 5 feet 11 inches.... I think... I suck at the whole conversion thing. (180cm) I always feel so freakishly tall around my friends. 'Tis a sad, lonely world up here.... I wear a size 7 shoe and a size 12 trousers. This is South African sizes, though. Do they differ significantly overseas?

Haha, thanks. Maybe I should move there? Hahaha!

:blushing: Thanks for your kind words! Listen, like I told my mom, sometimes life just sucks. I work hard, I am careful about what I eat, I do everything that I should do. I damn well will not stop drinking beer. I will not suck the fun out of life. If I had to give up beer, I'd probably put on a tinfoil hat and sit in a…

You are much too kind! I used to kill myself with cardio, and skimped on weights, because frankly, I loathe shoulder exercises. Still do, but I reward myself with something I like doing. Like drinking a beer...

Oh goodness, yes, I didn't think about that. Now that you mention it, it does seem wrong to imply that I started okay-ish and ended as a blob. But for all that you know, I could live in a horribly hot country and I'm busy melting...

Thanks! And yes it's a killer workout. The organizers of competitions around here are trying to draw a line and differentiate between Pole Fitness, and Pole Dancing. The dancing seems to carry a stigma of stripperness... I see no problem with fake eyelashes end glitter and stillettos and controversial outfits...…

Losing 11 pound in 4 weeks is no small feat! Well done yourself! Allegedly, with continued effort, the bum does get smaller. I'm suspicious about this. Mine refuses to shrink. It feels firmer, but I don't think I'm the best judge of that, seeing as I don't go around frisking my butt every day or so. Thinking about it…

:blushing: shucks, you guys! Thanks! Horrible hard work and slow progress, but eventually we all get there! Oh and the thing about "beer makes you fat" is a myth. I never gave up drinking beer. I switched to Castle Light though, but that was because I don't like overly-sweet beer. So, CHEERS! :drinker:

Thanks so much! The photos are a bit grainy and I saw the original post cut a part of the photo off, so I edited that...

^^^^ This!

Baby spinach, thinly sliced onions, feta cheese, mushrooms and a dollop of home made hummus on the side. And I use whole eggs :) Yummmm Another option with leftover mexican: Cheese, salsa, spicy mince and refried beans. Oh so good....

Totally with you on this one! I'm in a in-between size at the moment, so effectively nothing fits well... This sucks!

Bump! Love these threads! I'm somewhere between 5'10 and 5'11...not too great with the conversion (180cm) I plan to upload some pics soon!

I love beer and I love going out with a couple of friends, but for the past 6 years all that beer got me overweight and severely depressed. Well, the depression was a thing I had trouble with all my life, but any alcohol intake worsens the condition. But anyhoo...the thing I'm trying to get at is that if you are really…

I know exactly what you're talking about! I can fake confidence pretty well and I'm a pretty decent public speaker, so it's not really shyness (though I'm really shy when I don't know people). I always feel that when people are laughing that they're laughing at me. Or when they're whispering, that they're whispering about…

Ok, here's an awesome exercise: Take a towel and roll it up. Lie on your back with the middle of the towel (length-wise) underneath your lower back. Hold onto the left part of the towel with your right hand, and the right part with you left hand. Now do small, slow sit-ups, pulling on the criss-crossed edges of the towel.…
