I am so in!! Thanks for starting this challenge. Sorry I haven't seen it sooner. I've been on MFP since 2011. I've lost and gained back the same 25 pounds. This time is different. I am approaching the end of those same 25 pounds (again) but this time I will make it so many more. Me: 6 LNS: 1

I did a google search on low calorie, high protein breakfasts. They are mostly eggs and fritatas with veggies added. Very disappointing. I look at dieting this way ... I get X number of calories per day, while trying to keep it low sugar, salt, and fat but high in protein and fresh fruits and veggies. I think outside the…

How are you doing mcfo1967? I am a two year survivor so I've been there. Hang tough girl!

What a wonderful attitude you have, cleppie! I am a two year survivor and have been told many times that your attitude can save your live. It is that important. So thankful for your success in beating cancer. You give me hope!!

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes ... I am being accountable to myself (and my family) by recording what I eat on MFP and staying within the calories they allow. I am not using pills of any kind for weight loss ... no diuretic, no laxatives, no, nada, none. I am drinking 8 or more glasses of water everyday. I am watching my sodium…

I love Paula Deen. Her story (from poverty to where she is today) is absolutely amazing. Her food is delicious (mostly) but it is not for eating everyday. We are personally responsible for what we eat ... bottom line there. As far as I am concerned about her diabetes ... she could have never told us since that is a private…

Thanks for starting this group. I was diagnosed with stage II infiltrating ductal carcenoma last February. In March I had a lumpectomy, April began with chemo (awful, inhuman, thought I would die!) and when I was done with that, had a full course of radiation. The radiation oncologist has a nutritionist on staff who told…

So right ... be thankful for people's acknowledgement of your effort. Y'all can acronym and repetitively word comments to me as much as you want. :flowerforyou:

Picture me with my hands on my hips hovering over you like a Drill Sgt does a soldier ... You will NOT give up!!! You are ONLY 19 years old. You have your WHOLE LIFE ahead of you. What you eat is a CHOICE. Your attitude is a CHOICE. Buck up girlie and GET WITH THE PROGRAM!! Now ... take a deep breath ... know that a lot of…

Breast Cancer ... I'd had the surgery and chemo and was sitting with the Radiation Oncologist's office Nutritionist ... when she said, "For you to be able to say that you have done EVERYTHING you can to keep the cancer from returning, you have to lose as much weight as you can and still be healthy." I knew then that the…

I forgot to update at the end of October! I was 222 ... 7 pounds lost!
-
This was really, really good! I did take a picture, but have no idea how to post it. Can anyone help me?

A nutritionist at my oncologists office told me that an hour a day, whether all at once or split into two half hours or into 15 minute workouts, is still an hour. The point is to do it and get it done ... whatever works best for you. Pam (aka ihateexercise)

Best post yet on MFP!! Should be required reading ... absolutely. I have read where people have said to eat back HALF of the exercise calories, as opposed to all of them. Hmmmmmmmmm, I wonder why? This post is so clear ... THANKS!!!!

I am only TEN POUNDS AWAY from ONEderland!!! So excited about this challenge ... 219 was the weight I was at when I gave up on the last "diet". Weight Watchers = NEVER AGAIN! Thanks for this group challenge. I love reading others losses, too. So encouraging! :flowerforyou:

Okay, proper eating, to me, on a limited caloric diet like myfitnesspal is to eat within the calories ... but not just within the calories ... staying within the categories of protein, sodium, etc. as outlined in our food diary. Proper eating does not include "cheat days" where it all goes to hell ... proper eating is to…

I bet it does feel good!!! It sure looks good on you ... :flowerforyou:

I asked the question because people keep posting over and over the question of what is your dream cheat or what food would you cheat on your diet with if you could. Those questions make me crazy. I can't believe they get posted at all. I am asking to keep the focus on proper eating, not cheat eating.

Please don't give up ... I am an older lady who has dieted all her life off and on ... off and on because I would become discouraged and give up. That is NOT want you want ... trust me. Slow and steady stays the course ... weight that comes off slower, stays off longer ... be true to yourself! Also, have you discussed this…
