In the oven as we speak, we got a late start, had to do some Trick or Treating 1st. I also put the Nutritional numbers in the database.

The bake turned out great, it was super simple to prepare. I only added one thing. Since I only used about half the taco mix with the turkey, I sprinkled my Bisquick with a little bit of the left over seasoning. I used vegetarian re-fried beans and fresh salsa from my grocers produce section. I accompanied the bake with some Spanish style rice, that added 180 calories to dinner. Guess what's for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the recipe, its a keeper. I would post a picture if I knew how.

Made this last night and had it for lunch today. VERY VERY GOOD. My husband and my mother/father in law loved it. My kids were not fond of the refried beans!!! Too bad! I will definitely make this again - it made great leftovers that were quick to pop in the microwave. Nummy! How many servings would you say. I said 6.
    BURRITO BAKE~

i got this out of a recipe book i got for christmas and created it lowfat... it is nummy either way!!!

    here is what i did...

1 lb ground turkey cooked and drained. (or ground beef)
    1 cup bisquick - lowfat
    1/3 c water
1 reg sized can fat free refried beans
    1/2 pack of taco seasoning
    1 cup salsa
    1 cup fatfree shredded cheese

brown turkey drain and add 1/2 pack taco seasoning as per directions
    set aside
in a seperate bowl - mix bisquick, water & can of beans
spread in the bottom of a greased pie pan
then spread your cooked turkey on top
then pour your salsa evenly over that
and then top with your cheese...
    bake 30 mins at 350

I made the burrito bake tonight and I'm definitely adding it to my arsenal of recipes. Not only was it really easy to make, it tasted delicious.

    Changes I made:
    - I used ground beef instead of turkey. The ground turkey would have been a lot less than calories, but unfortunately I forgot I needed it for tonight and used it yesterday in sloppy joes. Oops!
    - I used a mixture of cheddar cheese and cotija cheese.
    - (not pictured) I served it with guacamole.

I made this tonight I did use a mexican blend of cheese that was 2% milk so lower fat than normal but not fat free. I was awesome and incredible. I can only eat a small bit but waw was it the best thing I have had in weeks.

Here is what mine looked like:

fixed this tonight for supper. I used ground beef instead of ground turkey cause my hubby does not care for ground turkey (I know when mixed up who can tell but he can!) It was very good. Husband loved it!
