  • HI :) Tosca Reno put out a fantastic, easy to read book on clean eating. There is one specifically for women and one specifically for men, just addressing their different needs, but focusing on the "clean" way of eating. No processed foods. This means steering away from most bread products. Tosca says to go for the…
  • Good job! What dedication and motivation! Fantastic! Keep it up and keep telling your story! :D
  • You have so much support here! Sometimes you need to give into a craving, or modify your craving so you don't feel like you completely went downhill. Allow yourself some room for error. Just keep on going once you get that urge out of the way. I like to mix up frozen bananas and cinnamon and eat it with dark chocolate :D
  • Hi! I just tried Spaghetti squash the other day! My hubby cut it in half and put it in the over for maybe 40 minutes. When it was done, he put sauce over it and we ate it just like spaghetti! And it wasn't too far off from the texture....surprisingly good! We are going to make a casserole next time :) I've been on a squash…
  • Sugars are everywhere. Try replacing refined sugar with the fruit kind of sugars for starters. Processed foods have a lot of sugar, so avoid those as much as possible. Sugars turn into fat if they are not being used. So use this as a tool to help you see where you need to fix things. Know that your progress will take time.…
  • Ready for this? Stand on ONE leg. TOUCH your toes. Do this 10 times. SWITCH legs. DO three sets. DONE. You'll see improvement within a month. I BET YOU! No weights no fuss. Just gotta do it 3 times a week. Don't do it back to back or you will strain those hammy's. Watch your butt and thighs shrink. My 10cents.
  • I did it in Lake Elsinore, CA last year, it was pretty fun! They ran out of food by the time I finished though!! I'm going on one of the first runs this time, I'm getting my turkey leg fix!! It is fun for all fitness levels, I agree! The most I ran was probably a half mile stretch and the rest was broken up with all of the…
  • I did the Warrior dash last year in Lake Elsinore, CA last year. Your buddy is right! The warrior dash is mainly about having fun! There wasn't much running at all because it was all split up with the obstacles. So at the most I ran about a half mile straight away... the best training you can do is endurance training and…

  • Good stuff! I started out with the Lactaid, then Silk and used that for a while, but then switched to the Costco brand that's not refrigerated because it was way cheaper! Everyone seems to have their own sensitivities towards being intolerant to lactose...so crazy! I remember being in my nutrition class and my teacher was…
  • Maybe try splitting your calories by meals first and then decide what needs to be added from that point. Bagels are good for carbs and calories in the morning. Eggs are a good one too. Put a piece of cheese on it and drink some OJ and you've got yourself a 500+ calorie breakfast... Another thing I do sometimes is a make a…
  • Hummus and celery is the best! :D I love Avocado and egg white sandwiches on whole wheat with sprouts :)
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bikila Vibrams! :D I've been running single miles in them for a few months now and my body has adjusted to them quite nicely. I have felt my my hamstrings, calves and my glutes, all from running in them. I do some feet flexibility exercises to help with stabilization in them. I tried some sprinting the…
  • I use butter. No margarine anymore. What's in that stuff anyways!? I don't overdo it, so I don't worry about calories and fat content...
  • Lately I have been feeling this way. I will feel very full and continue to gorge myself with food that I do not need. I analyzed the situation and now I understand that I am a stress eater. I'm not overweight at all, very athletic fit, but I definitely have eating issues. I stopped posting what I was eating and I was just…
  • I love how our bodies really do know what is good for us, if we only listen to them :) I have tested myself with In And Out 2 times and both times it was a disaster. My stomach rumbles and i feel like it will never digest. GROSS.. Taco bell is actually the only fast food I will eat, (at most once a month) and it usually…
  • Good stuff guys! Everyone has pretty good staples! :D I don't know what I really got out of this.... I can't eat the stuff with lactose in it,. And I'm easing myself into eating fish... I eat a can of tuna once a week and that's about it. I just started eating hemp protein, which I tried putting in my steel cut oatmeal,…
  • Your not likely to lose any weight. Whether you smoke it, eat it or vaporize it. In the last two choices you are not putting any toxins into your body besides the THC and CBD that is in Marijuana. If you need to gain weight, marijuana is a better plan for that, hence why it is prescribed to cancer patients.... Good luck!
  • I've been eating Mini Wheats for a few years now, my trick is to put the sugar side down on your tongue. :D I also discovered Barbara's Puffins at Trader Joe's, those are pretty good and they both do a really good job at keeping me full for a while too :) Everyone has the right idea for the snacks, those laughing cow…
  • Woohoo! Thanks for the info! The comparison with your body to the plant was helpful to see how the body hydrates itself! *Goes to drink another glass of water*
  • Good job! It's amazing where you can find motivation some times ^_^
  • Think RAW and you can do it! Try to stay away from all that fat processed food. You will just be taking in fat and cholesterol. When I go on vacations, I always like to stop at the grocery store and pick up some of my favorites, tuna, spinach, almonds, apples, bananas...:) Godd luck!! :D
  • I'm 5'5 and 132. I bulk up pretty quickly and I load on the protein, so I don't think it would be plausible for me to be 120.. I would have no muscle weight at all... I would be skin and bones! No thank you!
