  • I don't drive, can I have a new South Park gif please. And don't half *kitten* it, I want to be mocked with animation!!
  • I don't. I don't see what relevance a calendar year has to my behavior. As a time frame, I often use ending at the new year, but I start things when I know I need to start them because I think waiting until New Years is just giving yourself an excuse to put off what you know you ought to do.
  • I'd suggest logging it as cardio --> circuit training, as someone else suggested. I actually use fitocracy to log my workouts, I think it is superior for stuff like keeping track of what weights I've done and easily seeing how much I have previously lifted for an exercise.
  • SO YUMMY! I love it on salads, but also spinach stuffed chicken breast and omelettes and beef dishes.
  • Yeah, I have some pants from high school (that I couldn't fit into in college) that I can fit back into that are 8s, but some brands these days now say I'm a 6. And that's less than 10 years ago
  • My ravens lost, so hawks better win
  • Tagging for creepy stalking purposes. And perhaps joining the fun later. I just know I'd be the one you are dreading that you put at 30 that thinks they're...not there...
  • A plate full of fudge. Could literally be the stuff dreams are made of
  • Not in order: Dark chocolate dreams peanut butter Click protein powder + coffee Regular coffee Cake batter casein protein Edamame Cocoa powder Eggs Almond milk Puffed millet Boneless skinless chicken breast
  • I agree. In fact, I find it completely obnoxious when guys come over to me to try to tell me how to do something "right" or say I lift heavy for a girl or anything like that. I find it condescending. Treat me like everyone else, please :)
  • 1) oly lifting stills are so badass. You look so cool! 2) a bajillion thanks, you've been infinitely helpful! I dot think I'll have a chance to practice again until wed or thurs :( but ill let you know how it goes 3) where are you from? I notice you seem to post super early, and do things in kg... I made sure to put lb…
  • Very helpful, but I'm lame and inconsistent at the gym this week because I'm out of town. May not make it today, and yesterday was just a bad lifting day, so I need a mulligan. The most I've ever back squatted is 205 lb, I've only front squatted 145 lb though, and that seems more relevant. Weight is currently around 150…
  • So if my bar is only flying a few inches, how do I get more power? More *kitten* squeezing? Lol
  • Dan, I feel like a stray that you've adopted! Lol thanks a ton, you go above and beyond! My goodness, if that's the slow version... I have bruises all over my clavicle from bad cleans. So the movement is nothing like a high pull? You're supposed to explosive extend. Your body and the bar just kind of flies up? I feel like…
  • Enters the conversation after multiple pages, reads none of them, and comments on the original topic, which has long since been forgotten. OP is categorically incorrect. Since I have watched every episode of Law and Order, I'm basically a lawyer and thus know that the OP is clearly mistaken.
  • Appalling! If you aren't going to log accurately, don't log at all!
  • I disagree with the others. 3 10 minute sessions should be pretty equivalent to a 30 minute session. http://www.livestrong.com/article/445237-one-workout-vs-several-short-workouts/ And above all, doing something is ALWAYS better than doing nothing.
  • Nothing but <3 for that one ^^ But seriously, these forums bash everyone. Sometimes males, sometimes females, sometimes overweight people, sometimes "skinny" people. I don't know if you know it, but there can only be 5 happy people in the forums, so I have to make a bunch of people feel crappy if I want a happy spot.
  • Figure stolen from a website. Actually it's on a bunch of websites and none of them state what test is used, so they very well may be +/- 5%. But the point still stands that having more muscle on your frame allows more muscle to be visible at the same body fat %.…
  • Oh, and I forgot to say that the single best thing I've ever done for my self esteem is start lifting. It makes me feel powerful and strong and in control of my life like I've never felt before. If it is at all an option to start lifting, I'd suggest that even without the awesome physical benefits!
  • So, I hate the word tone. There is muscle and fat. By manipulating the ratio of muscle to fat, you can achieve a look where a little muscle shows through because your fat is low enough. Eating disorders notoriously waste muscle, so you probably have exceedingly low muscle mass. Building muscle, then would be the best…
  • Are you sure? If you are sub 20% at 115 lb, you have 92 lb of lean mass. Assuming you retain all of that, since you only want to lose 6 lb, you would then be 15.5% body fat at your goal. That is possible, but a pretty low body fat % goal. A lot of people use questionable means to estimate body fat %, so you have to…
  • Thanks again, Apollo and Dan Sounds like I should up the weight and practice high pulls, then hang cleans, then putting it all together? ETA: I look forward to your vid Dan!
  • It's not self conscious, it's that I don't want to hit someone. I took a bar to the face once and so I try to be conscious of other people. Before this I was doing burpees in the weight area...and after I was doing sprints in front of the racket ball courts... So I don't care if I look like an idiot :) Thanks to both of…
  • I agree. T nation has a plan for a total body workout that is much better (IMO). http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/totalbody_training
  • Isn't it hypocritical to make a stupid thread that adds no value to the site about how some threads add no value to the site? Just don't read/respond to the threads you don't like.
  • I don't see why people are so anti-supplements. They don't do your work for you. You still have to create a calorie deficit. I don't see why it's unfathomable that someone could use it to help them eat less. That said, I got some free from a friend and tried it and I couldn't keep up with the increased water demands, so I…
  • What she said. I'm classified as overweight, but my body fat % is in the ideal range. And since I have higher than average muscle mass, most people would guess my weight is lower than what it is. In fact, just today someone thought I weighed 15-20 lb less than I do (so she thought my PR lift was way more badass than it…
  • You can add me. I don't see myself actually competing, but I am planning to get my body fat low and then do a (or a few) bulk cut cycles to get the body I want. I crossfit and love lifting. I'd probably be more likely to try a powerlifting meet than a bodybuilding competition... Now that I think about it. Also, Dan's kinda…
