Happy to hear! Great job and best of luck on your continued journey to better health!! :)

Let me preface this with 100lbs is AMAZING. Really amazing. So, good for you! Also, I'm not a professional nutritionist, so take this with a grain of salt... I flipped through the past couple weeks of your diary and many days are 1000-1200 calories. It seems like that's a really low intake since as a 32 year old female at…

So delish! :)

Great job for taking the first step of signing up and getting yourself support! I've found that even reading the boards and searching on past posts has been really helpful in educating myself / helping me get started. I've been up and down with my weight over the years, and the one thing I've learned is that you just have…

Awesome! This is all very helpful. I think I get too hung up on what is stereotypical breakfast - I can definitely add in other proteins like chicken, etc.

Great job!!

5'3" and currently around 163#. As a short Italian girl who ate too many donuts while she was pregnant, I was pretty up there (read: more than my 190# husband) when I delivered in April 2013, lol. Trying to get back to a healthier range of around 140-145. Feel free to add me! :)

Woo hoo! Let's do it. I think I could shoot for 10lbs. Happy to add more friends, too!

I'd love to add some fellow moms for support/motivation! I had a little girl in April and am just beginning my weight loss journey. I had a rough delivery so I'm still waiting for the go ahead to get back to my regular exercise, but want to eat well and in a manageable calorie range because I'm breastfeeding. Congrats to…

13 weeks on Thursday and glad there are threads like this. I had a pretty nauseous first trimester and it seemed like only carby stuff would do -- now that I'm feeling better I'm hoping to get back into working out more regularly and eating a bit better. Would love friends to share the journey with! :)

Sent a request, too! I'm happy to add friends. :-) Not the greatest at this, but learning more every day.

You look amazing! Keep up the good work!! And I'm loving the red hair - it really suits you! :)

Happy to add friends with similar goals! I'm 5'3" (on a good day when I'm well hydrated, lol) ... SW: 156 CW: 148 GW: 137 Felt my best at that goal weight and determined to get there again! :flowerforyou:

 Adorable bathing suit and GREAT JOB!!! Have a great holiday.

I'm 5'3"... in terms of weightloss, I go by how I feel! I'd love to be back to around 135-137! :)

Neverstray I get your point -- but the race on Sunday was super hot, so I opted for the gels to keep the electrolytes up while drinking water, and ate a banana and toast beforehand. I think the more conditioned you become the less you need, but everyone seems to be different. I have a friend who can run 10+ miles on a…

Results! 2:22:36! :-) I ended up doing a Gu gel and then Chomps during the race - seemed to work like a charm, but I have a number of other things to try based on this string. Thanks everyone for the tips and support!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I think after all this training I might have a sporting chance despite the nerves. :-)

Thanks, Carson -- good point. I ran with a friend for 6 mi on Sunday and we had a full fledged convo the whole time, so I'm not having much shortness of breath. For shorter distances I can go faster as well. It seems like the weakness I experienced after the 8 was probably more attributed to lack of fuel/dehydration.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Pace right now is around 10:30-10:40, so I'm hoping to finish under 3 hrs. This weekend I'm running my first 10 mile route so I'm going to pick up some stuff to try.

AH-MAZ-INGGG! :-) Just sayin'...

Most dump it into their palm, but I think your post just gave me added strength (and an urge to vom), lol!

This whole post makes me furious.. but I'm so glad to see that MFP has so many awesome people that pick each other up when someone else brings them down. I had many of the same comments -- my roommate used to check the sizes of my new clothes when I came home and tell me I looked anorexic... my mom said, "you're not going…

After giving this a lot of thought, I think that I'll probably not log, but hopefully eat within moderation! Usually when I go off the rails and eat whatever I want all I end up feeling is guilty and weighed down. I think I'll probably have a little of all of my favorite things, but hopefully not get uncomfortably full! :)

I'm looking to run -- currently training for a 5 mile Turkey Trot in a few weeks, and a 10 mile race in May. :-)

Thank you, everyone! All of these suggestions are super helpful. And Iridal, great first post! :-)
