I welcome the opportunity to hold myself accountable. Thank you for the opportunity!

I avoid the talk altogether. When I sit with friends, not eating, I just say "I'm not hungry right now." I didn't tell my partner for at least a month that I was fasting for days at a time. It's just easier for me to avoid the appearance of giving advice, and to avoid getting unwanted advice.

Welcome back. I fully know how it feels to watch. I just go deep inside myself and think about what good things I'm doing to my body. Seems to work.
-
Sending good wishes to help you push on through and get to your Oct 21st goal.

I love all the cabbage cookings on your plates. Let's get together and have a cabbage fest!
-
I'm just now catching up with my OMAD friends, and I see your beeyouteeful plate! What a meal!
-
Good to hear that your knee is a little better. I'm brewing some turmeric tea right now for mine.
-
I really admire your successes in running!
-
Aw no, I'm so very sorry about your little kitty. That's tough. Sending hugs and good wishes for you.
-
Very very very nice progress!

@minigrrll Can we talk about turmeric? I have quit taking aspirin for inflammation and pain because it seems to be a stupid idea to continue. I have found that doctors in other counties (Australia for example! Although most certainly not here in the US.) now recommend turmeric. I would like to start making my own pills as…

@blambo61 Knee problems due to arthroscopy in July 2016. I went to Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) - one of 2 best places in the country for knee surgery. I was not a candidate for total knee replacement because I could still walk, but had a torn meniscus (dancing injury) that kept me from running, jumping,…

Woohoo, looking forward to charts!!!

Welcome back. May you have many new successes.

I find that eating a lot of carbs will make my knees swell and exacerbate my injuries. I am eager to hear how/if you try taking turmeric.
-
Britt, your aims and your determination are truly inspiring!!!

Hmm, hmm, hmm. I presume you are measuring BF with one of those home scales? I have always been skeptical of that method. Clearly it is working for you. Maybe I need to reevaluate ... You have been using yours long enough that you have seen a steady decline in BF as you lose weight?

Great philosophy.

I think you are doing a GREAT job, and I love seeing your meals and reading our blog. I just read your story about your son's migraine and your stress about having to leave him. I totally agree that your/our kids come first. However, as I tell my son, remember that you have to take care of yourself so that you will be…

You're going to kill this! Nice goal. I'm looking forward to your success.
-
I admire your steady loss. Great job!

Awesome report about your conference. Sitting there not eating lunch - admire that. I've done it a couple of times. It's amazing how easily both companions and the wait staff accept the fact you don't want to eat. You look adorable in your picture - no, you do NOT have a fat face!!

Home from Spain. Here is the final count. 24 days: 3 days fasting, 4 days @ 2 meals, 17 days OMAD. New weight 183.0 => Loss of 2.8 pounds (Should have lost more. But old friends and wine seem to go together ...) My knee did not hold out as well as I hoped it would. However, on the final day, DH went out into the mobs in…

First afternoon in Barcelona. The fish was good, but the part I didn't take a picture of - nearly 1/2 of my husband's pork cheeks slow-cooked in a luscious tomato sauce - now that was great! Yummy!
