When you have a moment, I'd love to see some of the meal plans? I have no problem finding recipes to cook, but do at times feel stumped on how to get the most bang for my (caloric) buck on creating entire meals..

I would not drop your calories, as your body needs fuel to heal. I would switch to maintenance. One interesting thing---when my daughter had surgery, she/we were told to make sure she got 60 grams of protein/daily to help with tissue rebuilding and healing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the EXACT same thing MFP suggests, without the restrictions on which foods to get your calories from? 400 calories/3 meals a day = 1200 calories.... Good luck.

I have a giftcard for a full body massage and a facial. I've been saving it until I felt better about my body. Great idea!
-
I would work out, and if I was hungry after dinner eat some of the exercise calories. Maybe a nice dessert-type treat?

I fluctuate often. Ignore it, drink more water---pick one day a week to truly record your weight. I weigh everyday, but only record on Friday. As long as you are going down/maintaiing with your weekly average, you are good.

My 'breakfast' normally consists of the skim milk in my coffee. Usually around 1 cup total of skim milk. I seem to be doing fine. :-)

I love red bell pepper with hummus or laughing cow cheese.

You look great!!! I love, love, LOVE your black polka-dot top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday!!! 25 was an eye opening age for me as well. I was no longer in my early 20's, and therefor had no more excuses for goals in my life. It was do or die. :drinker: Enjoy your birthday!

Quick ideas: Olive oil, peanut butter, nuts---all easy ways to get nutrient packed calories.

It's a personal decision. Some say eat all of them. Some say don't. Do what works for YOU. Are you starving? Eat some or all. Do you feel satisfied and have energy? Don't eat them. Eat them all on Tuesday, eat half on Friday, and none on Saturday. It's up to you, and how you respond and feel.
-
Eat the chips/cookies/cake---just log them under your daily goal. Better yet, exercise and use your exercise calories for those 'treats'.
-
Off the top of my head, I believe it's 'settings' and then 'diary settings'.

Sorry for your loss. :-( One thought---are you eating back a portion of your exercise calories? If you are eating 1200, and burning 1000, you would only be 'netting' 200 calories for the day. It's entirely possible you need to eat more to lose more. Each body is different, but if you aren't---I'd suggest eating some back…

Daily? I've taken it for flying, MRI's, and my brother's funeral--but I can't imagine taking it daily. It makes me super groggy.
-
They are called 'exercise calories'. You can eat all, some, or none. It's entirely up to you. I personally eat them if I'm hungry.
-
I choked at 'diarrhea drinks and shakeweights', lol!!!! To OP: Are you not having any success eating sensibly, tracking calories and exercising?
-
Stargazer, were you satisfied with 1200/day, or were you constantly hungry? I prefer to have mine at 1200, and eat my exercise calories as needed.
-
Don't eat them if you aren't feeling well, but I would also not add them to tomorrow. Start tomorrow new.

At one point, I'd refused to get on the Dyson bandwagon. Then, my vacuum died. I bought a Dyson from Costco, kept the receipt KNOWING I was going to return it, and then would finally be able to say, "Yes. I tried Dyson. Not worth the money, imo, and I returned mine." That was 8 months ago, I LOVE my Dyson and my only…

No kidding.

I currently have two windows open, Facebook and MFP. I'm multi-taskerish like that.

If you've already counted it in your lunch, I wouldn't count it again.

I actually DO take others advice, whether it be regarding diet/fitness/health/marriage/children/etc. If I actually ask for advice, I totally take into consideration all different views points put forth.

Is it possible she's already been asked about your job performance, and is warning you? Or...rather, trying to decipher how to answer?

I would be thrilled to lose .9 of a pound. Slow and steady wins this particular race.
-
Try increasing slowly. I'd add 100 calories/day for a week and see how you respond.
-
Yes, though not nearly as much as before MFP. I love beer, all beer. Light, dark, cheap, foreign---if it's beer, I.love.it.

I had a mixed green salad with 2 tbs low calorie dressing, and canned tuna on whole wheat.
