  • I had the EXACT same thing for years and years. The "not going" part would get me so cramped I would miss school and work, then the "going" days would be so painful and time consuming (gross,I know but you probably feel the same!) that I would miss out on things, too. Basically, it sucked. BUT then I went gluten free, and…
  • Never tried a mini-challenge, but I need the motivation. I'm in!
  • Hi, I just bought their program and I'm needing some help with it. :)
  • The way I see it, if you are really happy in what you're doing, then why change it? However, if you are unhappy and don't feel comfortable going out, maybe find different ways to be around people...join a church (or any place of worship) if you are religious, find an open sports league, talk to people at the gym/take…
  • So I'm still confused on how these groups work, but I've done 2 Turbo Kick classes, 1 Zumba, and I'm Zumba-ing again tonight! I've been focusing on making dinner at home, which helps with making good food choices, planning my daily meals, and it's easier on the wallet. I'm starting to get really down on myself for not…
  • I haven't heard of green tea for this...I'll give that a go! Thanks for the tip
  • I am definitely exercising and drinking lots of water, but it just seems that no matter what I do my thighs are still dimply. I see SMALL improvement with exercise, but I want that stuff gone! :)
  • Depending on your gym, they might have a weights class. Mine has Body Pump which is a mix of free weights and barbells. It is really challenging, but you use what you're comfortable with (my weights are very small) and you build up from there.
  • I think it's really great that you are recognizing that this is an issue now and not after you give in and have a serious problem. Like the PP, I don't know you, but I would strongly suggest going to AA or another support group. Getting help now will be much easier than later on. Best of luck to you!
  • Hi Everyone, I have been looking for a group to join, and I would love it if I can come on board this one! A little about me, travelerkate, is that I am nearly 25 (next week!) and got married last month. I was never a fitness/health person, but never exactly overweight. Just not in shape or toned. Since high school I've…
  • Welcome to MFP! I'm in the same category- technically healthy, but I need to tone up and lose a few pounds. It does take a while for me to see the difference on my scale, but I find I have more strength and endurance. Try to use those as measurements, not just inches and pounds. See if you can add on an extra rep or 10…
  • Nobody?
  • I'm right there with you! I was really great in the months leading up to the wedding, but I was living at home again for a short time so I didn't really worry about cooking, and could go right to the gym after work. Now I live about 30 minutes from work, so getting in a workout means I won't get home til 7 and still have…
  • I'm gluten free, and have found quinoa to be an awesome replacement of how I used to eat pasta: 1st I sautee veggies (eggplant, squash, zucchini, onion, tomatoes, potatoes, garlicc, peppers, olive oil) then add the quinoa, and cook it for a few minutes then cover with water and boil until the quinoa absorbs it all (like…
