My Aha moment- I was turning 30, and wanted to have a FAB party, but couldn't find a cute thing to wear. And I was turning 30 I'm not getting younger/sprightlier, it's only going to get harder to lose as I age; not easier. So, if I don't lose the weight now, when will I do it?

I walk and alternate running, usually on the treadmill but today outside. I wasn't watching the clock and ran for 1.5 minutes straight, instead of the usual 30 seconds. Big confidence builder for me. When I started a year ago, I could walk on the treadmill for 7 minutes before I thought I would just die!!

Have you changed up the exercise routine? Sometimes your body gets used to the treadmill, or it gets used to your particular workout, and it needs some confusion- try a spin class or a kickboxing class, just for fun, just to see if you're strong enough to get half way through it- no pressure, just be relaxed about it. I was swimming 3 days a week, and had a loss of about 2lbs a week. I did tear my rotator cuff, and have only lost 2 pounds this month, while in physical therapy, treadmill, elliptical and counting all calories. So, it works for me!

I brine a 12 lb bird over night- covered in water, with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of salt- it's been great 3 years running. Best of luck!!! I'm looking for healthier side dish options if you have any?

Spaghetti Squash doesn't "spaghetti" for me, I guess I do it wrong. Change up your marinade, from lemon juice and worcestershire sauce, to the store bought,Kkraft italian salad dressing, or even the Landry's Asian marinades... completely changes the feel of the meal from an Italian Primavera, to an Asian stir-fry!

Family around me have the idea that if I am in a place where I need to lose weight, where does that leave them? They have more to lose than I have. Also, how did I get to a place in my life to confront issues, that they have never decided to think about. none-the-less take action.

When you spend so much time together, a trust, and friendship develops. But, timing, talking about it at the office, on work time, is actually interfering with productivity. But, lunchtime, breaks, that's fine.
