So happy for you and your progress! It's nice to get away, I haven't had a vacay in so long..

My mom sent me a recipe where they use some of the oats ground up and other part whole, and supposedly makes it thick and more creamy.

I was in the colorgard in high school and can't blow bubbles with gum

Thanks everyone for support and helping me feel better about my effort. I had a good run before and really out of practice so I have to get back into a rhythm. So my body I think wasn't ready yet. Today resting and eat, and next week more miles 😊

Just did 1/2 mile today, no energy since I had a big workout yesterday. Felt like a failure

I try and eat a fairly substantial breakfast or first meal and it'll keep me until dinner. Ill eat either cereal with some fruit and a bowl of yogurt, or I will have rice with eggs and vegs, a healthy portion. I don't need to snack and might have a light dinner or mid afternoon snack

I like shredded wheat I feel full for most of the day.

I am a vegetarian and my nutritionist said combining certain foods you get "a complete protein" because some plant sources might not have all the essential elements that beef does. So tomorrow I'm making chili with barley, and if I eat with some edamame Im getting all the aminos, plus iron from the beans, fiber and complex…

My mom made the yummiest oatmeal for me as a child, she cooked it with milk and molasses and it sat on the stove all day. I can't make anything like her

I used to make toast for myself with butter and sugar when i got home from school. It was easy for me to make. Didnt know anyone else liked it!

Longer you cook it, stir it will thicken. Also, let it stand covered after its finished it will thicken. Thats why if you leave in microwave it gets thicker. If you let it soak in water before cooking, it will shorten your cook time too.

Same for me, no junk food and still, gained 2 pounds. I attributed it to, the body trying to restore its old balance and what it's used to. But so frustrating!

Hello, my goal for March I'll keep it simple 30 miles, which is a low target as I don't run every day. Yesterday 3/4 I ran 3 miles.

It is windy where I am too, but I started taking a bike when it's a safe option. Get exercise in and save gas. Or, go run in morning before coffee and just deal with the cold. Better than it being too hot at least.

All good suggestions. I also like XHIT

I just joined planet fitness as a cheap option, and I do beachbody which is great for people crunched for time. It's hard for me to exercise first thing, find a time that's good for you even if its your lunch hour. You've just got to ditch the excuses and do it. Agree with others about home options..and you can buy a jump…

I admit sometimes Ive skipped weighing everything and just guess it based on what it seems. But know its not accurate. I would really recommend getting one. If you have a weight scale, you should have a food scale - digital for an accurate reading. I actually just bought a new one because I didnt feel confident in the…

I haven't been big on cooking, but sometimes like to bake. So while it's not a meal, I made 2 loaves of bread - one onion/dill and another olive with rosemary. There's something about fresh, homemade bread that's so comforting and wholesome.

Fresh, organic produce is very flavorful and I love it. Lately, I've developed an appreciation for arugula, and persimmons are so lovely when they're in season. I prefer Hachiyas.
