I am 72 and need to drop 30 pounds due to arthritis. I'm up a pound down a pound. I'm on. 1200 calories, have increased my protein, walksbout 8500 steps daily. Any ideas to help me.

How important is it to stay within the nutrient limits. I eat lots of veggies which increases my carb intake.
