How important is it to stay within the nutrient limits. I eat lots of veggies which increases my carb intake.

For weight loss, it's not important, only calories matter
But I regards to satiety, or other things to assist you in your goals, you can choose which are more helpful to you to maintain a deficit or maintain muscle, etc3 -
I don't limit carbohydrates, I just make sure I'm getting the protein and fat that I need. Weight loss is created by a calorie deficit. You can do that on a high, moderate, or low carbohydrate diet. It's up to you.4

Assuming your goal is weight loss what matters first is getting through the day in a calorie deficit without feeling miserable. If eating lots of vegetables helps you, it certainly helps me, then you are golden. If you are still suffering from a lot of hunger you may need to make some adjustments.
After you feel mostly comfortable with your deficit you will want to make sure you get enough protein and fat most days. Fat is usually not a problem for most but I have to watch mine because it runs low so I mention it. Keep in mind that if you exercise and log it your protein and fat goals may go up to numbers you do not need. It is not a problem to eat more it is just not necessary.2
