I used to be able to when I was in dance but now I'm struggling to get back into it... I've been stretching and stretching but I feel like my muscles won't let me...I'm scared I'll pull it Any tips??

ive never weighed more than 100...my whole family are slim in nature but I really want to build my butt muscles and I've seen some improvement...question is, should I keep on going heavy or maintain ? My quads are looking rather thick than my butt..
