Mental focus
Hello everyone, just wanted to share some thoughts. Dieting is all about calories control and exercise, but more importantly its about the mental shifts we make. We have to be ready in our minds and emotions to take control of what we eat and truly be committed to being on this journey. I let my focus slip for the last 12…

Advice on resetting daily calories
Hello everyone, I wanted some advice before I do this and mess things up. I lost 30lbs last year and gained back 12 this year. In the last four months I've really struggled to take it off even though I was logging. I was at 1200 and it just wasn't moving. I exercise 6 days a week 4 lifting and the rest cardio. Three weeks…

New Approach advice/comments
Hello fitness pals, Here's my thing. Last year lost weight at a steady 2lbs a week sticking to 1200 a day and exercising. Cut to now...14lbs back on and trying to do the same thing, but failing. I feel that I've messed with my metabolism over the past year and now I'm gaining and losing the same pounds over and over. I've…

Just wanted to ask for people like me who have lost and gained many times, does it physically get harder to lose the weight with each new attempt?

Life after reaching goal
I wanted to ask those who have reached their goal weight and kept it off, how they managed to maintain the weight loss. Was there fear on regaining the weight? Did your eating change? Thanks

Exercise and fatigue
Just wanted to ask can you over do it with the exercise. I'm feeling constantly fatigued at the moment. I exercise 6 days a week, one day strength training at the gym followed by a high intensity dance cardio class the next. I push myself to the limit and I'm walking around craving sleep and feeling so sluggish. Any…

Breakfast and metabolism question
Had a debate with my trainer at the gym this morning. He was horrified that I don't eat something the minute I wake up and come and weight train on an empty stomach. I told him that I'm only on 1200 calories a day and that I like to eat later in the morning so I don't feel so hungry by midday. He said that if I eat the…

Pressing re-start
I just wanted to share some words of encouragement with everyone. I faltered with my weight loss for the past 6 months and put on almost 10 lbs. I was feeling down and angry with myself for slipping back into my old ways. Last Sunday I decided to flip the mental switch in my head and get back to approaching the weight loss…

Good at exercise bad at calorie counting
Over the course of 18 months I've lost 24 lbs I've got another 14 to go. My weight has increased over the past six months as I've slacked off sticking to my calorie goal of 1,350 a day. I regularly go over by 300 cals. I do however work out 6 days a week, a combination of cardio dance, weight training and interval running…

Water Intake
Hello fellow fitness pals. I really struggle to drink more than half a litre of water a day. I work out 6 days a week, mix of high intensity cardio and training at the gym. Does drinking a lot of water really help to shift the pounds?
