Losing weight hello!
Hey, I'm Jillian. Don't plan on logging meals much but will be regularly updating my weight progress with pics. I like seeing other peoples' updates, it keeps me going and like commenting and having a bit of conversation. If you're active add me and we can motivate each other :)

Bellybutton
I'm not sure what weight I am now, but I have been losing weight recently (having moved to a different country and having to exercise more, and being busy so not eating as much). When I started losing in April last year I had just hit 15st, and I hovered around 13st for a while, now I'm probably slightly less than that.…

Should I Reduce my Deficit?
Hi, I'm a 5ft 20 yo female currently weighing in at 88.5kg. my BMR is 1684 and TDEE 2021. I have MFP set to sedentary (as my exercise levels fluctuate day to day) and I input the exercise I do. So MFP has given me a baseline of 1200 and exercise usually lifts it to around 1600 or so. So I find myself eating between 1600…

Hunger Question
I'm just wondering if the fact that I'm hungry is my body's way of saying it wants more calories to function? Because some days I never get hungry although I eat very little, and some days I'm hungry despite eating a lot and it seems to depend on how active I am in the day but I'm not certain. So does being hungry mean…

It's About More Than Me: Looking for Friends
Hey, I've been logging on MFP for 50 days as of today and have lost 10lb so far on my journey. I've added a number of people and I really enjoy helping to motivate people and talking to people on here. I've found that no matter how much I engage and encourage some people, I don't get any of the energy back. So I'm looking…

Eating under BMR
I calculated my BMR today and realised that I've been eating hundreds of calories under it for almost a month. Is this likely to affect me if I continue long-term? So far, I haven't been feeling fatigued or anything, so I'm wondering how it would affect my body (if at all). Just if the BMR is how much my body needs to keep…

Snacking
How viable is it to snack on strawberries or spinach leaves if you don't have many calories left of your daily allowance but you're hungry and don't want to go over? Is it something worth doing? Will it fill me up at all?

Stretch Marks From Strength Training
Since I've started doing more strength training, I've noticed my arms and tummy have gained stretch marks where there were none before, even though I'm losing weight. Why is this?

Stitches in the gym
I know that stitches (that sharp pain in your side you can get when exercising) are caused by a build up of lactic acid which is produced when your body is undergoing anaerobic respiration, which it does when your body doesn't have enough oxygen to get the energy it needs to the muscles which need it. What I want to know…

Is it okay to eat back exercise calories?
I've read on the forums that you shouldn't eat back calories you "lose" in exercise. Is this true? I find if I don't eat some of them back, I end up feeling really hungry.

Sodium Intake fluctuations - okay?
I find that I either eat way less than the recommended sodium (which is most of the time) or eat way over - today I'm over by 1230, for example, and another day I was well over too - because I'd had chicken soup for dinner. I'm just wondering if this is okay - my intake is irregular but i get plenty of sodium in bursts.…

Eating too much fat!
I have found through MFP that my intake of fat is consistently more than I should be eating. I'm wondering if you have any tips about decreasing fat intake in general, for example, are low-fat substitutions a good choice?
