Strength or weight loss first?
I just want to be healthier and stronger. I originally wanted to lose 50 lbs but after some setbacks (a car wreck in November and the holidays) I'm down 20 and not feeling motivated to lose. I have been exercising and want to gain strength and stamina. I have made progress in those areas already. I do believe that if I eat…

After 9 months my fitbit caused a rash/irritation
My fitbit flex started causing an irritation on my wrist the past couple weeks. I've had it since last June with no issues. It's both under the tracker and at the clasp. I switched bands and continued to have the issue so I took it off 4 days ago. The areas apear to be almost healed now. Has anyone had this happen? Did it…

Yoga on YouTube? At home resources?
I've been using bayous youtube workouts including fitnessblender. I'd like to add some yoga routines into the mix. Any Youtube channels you recommend with beginner friendly yoga? Other resources? Fitnessblender has some yoga/pilates workouts but I'd like to check out some other sources as well.

Overcoming weak knees
I injured my meniscus about 8 years ago and have sort of noticed that pain and creaking goes back and forth between both knees. I figure I compensate with one whenever the other hurts, eventually causing some issues with them both. I was getting stronger, doing squats without pain until a couple months ago. A car wreck put…

Diet to lower cholesterol
A friend has recently been diagnosed with high cholesterol. I'm trying to help her learn the ropes of healthy eating. There's so much mixed information out there. Can you recommend any resources that give reliable info on a heart healthy diet?

Mfp calorie adjustment
I've lost 13 lbs since starting mfp. I log the losses, but I'm pretty sure my calorie requirements have stayed the same. I expected that as I weigh less, mfp would start to say to eat less calories. Maybe I'm still within the first block of measurement?

Loss of strength?
I used the 100 pushups app to work up to where I was doing sets of 30-40 totaling 150+ every other day. Full disclosure: knee pushups. I added a crossfit workout once a week and it included 20 pushups (no big deal right?) And 10 pull ups. I can't do pull ups (yet) so I did negatives. After 2 weeks of this I couldn't seem…

Help with macros
I'm at 180 working towards 138ish as my goal. 5,1" 35 year old female. I'm doing strength training, calisthenics, walking, some aerobics... trying to stay active every day. I'm averaging about my 1500 calories and am losing slow but steady. My question is, are the default macros on mfp what I should be aiming for? Should I…

Fitnessblender 5 day workout challenge
I started fitnessblender's 5 day workout challenge yesterday but I thought maybe some people would want to do it with me! I've done some of the workouts before but I've never tried to do all 5 on consecutive days. Here's the link to day 1 https://youtu.be/IR31lyaxJE4

So I really can't gain muscle and lose weight & fat at the same time?
I started mfp 6 weeks ago. I never tracked my food before, never dieted... so I'm learning a lot. I am reading blog posts here and everywhere else about diet and exercise. I weighted 188 when i started so as a 5' 1" female that is too much. I am using free weights, doing lots of fitnessblender workouts, doing pushups,…

Who's using the Pact App?
This app looks pretty cool to me. Any good or bad experiences? I'd be okay with getting a few bucks per week as an extra incentive!

Recommended gadgets for beginners?
I have a fitbit and I am ordering a food scale. I have a good selection of dumbells (for now), and I have a workout mat. I am doing fitnessblender workouts and using fitbit with my fitness pal for calories. Are there any other gadgets or tools that have helped you to be successful?

Meal plans/fitnessblender
Does anyone recommend using meal plans? I use Fitnessblender.com on YouTube for some of my workouts and they offer 4 week weight loss meal plans. Also, I'm cooking for 6 at dinner and on weekends so that's been an obstacle. I don't want to cook something different for me but I don't know if I can get everyone on board with…

Progress?
I've been using myfitnesspal for about 6 weeks and pretty consistently staying on track with calories. I started exercising 30 minutes almost everyday plus being more active in general at that time as well. I've been pushing myself in my workouts. I told myself when i started that i didn't care about losing weight, i just…
