No bread plus calorie counting
I lost nearly 2 stone, stopped counting calories and put a stone back on despite being very active. Back on calorie counting, stopped eating any bread and replaced that with healthy food and that stone gained, gone! Now I'm about to go even further, lose another stone and reach my goal. Bread had to go, tummy feels better…

Failed again but ready for action
How many times do I think I don't need to count calories? I am active I tell myself, I run three times a week, I will still lose weight! Again, weight has crept back on, no wonder even my running is a struggle. Back on counting calories and weighing food again today, no more excuses. What helps you to keep going and stop…

Gave in to bread
Really felt healthier and losing weight again after being stuck. But then I gave into bread again, one slice at a time and stopped counting calories lying to myself I could do this! Several pounds crept back on but my spare tyre is back, seems like bread is my biggest enemy in feeling good. Why is it so hard to just relax…

Stuck for ages, weight now coming off?
I lost 23 lbs counting calories but weight loss stopped altogether around the time I started running even though I was calorie deficient every day. I never ate more than my basic daily allowance to eat back exercise calories. Every day MFP told me what I might weigh in 5 weeks. It was becoming so frustrating. I allowed…

C25K Day 1 nearly killed me
anyone else doing C25K? I haven't been sitting on the couch for some time (walking, cycling, step aerobics) and I found Day 1 really hard, more challenging than a 20 mile bike ride. Does it get easier and when? Need to do something on top of cycling to get fit!

MFP recommends a safe weekly weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week and 1200 daily calories as the minimum safe level to consume. However, recently a discussion about people losing large amounts of…

Scared of moving to week 5 C25K
i have completed week four now, quite reasonably but the thought of week 5 is very scary due to the jump in running times, apart from resting, drinking plenty of water and staying indoors on the treadmill instead of going outside, what else can I do? Don't want to fail

Any beginner cycling friends out there?
i am 51 and started cycling on my old shopping bike about 4 weeks ago just to burn calories for my MFP weight loss challenge. Bought a hybrid bike two weeks ago and plan to cycle 130 miles in July. Only manage average speed of just over 10 miles per hour and can keep moving unless I meet a steep hill! New buddies welcome
