I lost 23 lbs counting calories but weight loss stopped altogether around the time I started running even though I was calorie deficient every day. I never ate more than my basic daily allowance to eat back exercise calories. Every day MFP told me what I might weigh in 5 weeks. It was becoming so frustrating. I allowed myself one day at Christmas to eat chocolate and not count calories. Even in the lead up and aftermath, if I ate it, it was counted. I also started to reduce my intake of carbs, notably white bread to stick under my carb goal on MFP. I have lost 3 lbs in 3 weeks - the very fact it's moving is major. Why is this, surely if I was calorie deficient, I should have been losing anyway? Confused

weight loss is not linear.
it is not unusual to not have any movement for weeks at a time, especially since you added in a new exercise.0 -
Sounds like you got a "whoosh". WTG!0
